  1. So this cover is a "perfect storm" of errors, rush job, color mistake, & cropping mistake.
  2. I don't recall ever seeing this cover before.
  3. Seriously, do you suppose the colorist did this on purpose as a prank. Notice that it's a slightly different "flesh color" than the guy's face. That means he thought about it and actually PICKED that color.
  4. SOLD ASM 119 OW-W I sent this in thinking 9.8 all the way. The corners are super sharp, no spine tics.... but what do I know. It's purdy though. $225
  5. Archie 47 CGC 4.0 Presents like a 6.0, but the cover is detached. This issue arguably has the 2 greatest pin-ups of B & V in the history of the comic. Imagine the value of this issue if they would have used one of these 2 pin-ups as the cover. The Pin-ups are not even stand alone pin-ups, they are integral to one of the stories. IMO, I think CGC should make a note of the pin-ups on the label. $175
  6. Here's an example of a Dark Mysteries 3 I sent in to CGC. When I got it back it was a Purple label 7.0. I got the graders notes and there was some glue at the top of the spine. I popped it out of the slab, carefully scraped the glue off (which was sealing a tiny 3/16" tear at the top of the spine) and sent it back in to CGC. It came back as a 7.0 Blue label.
  7. Yes, I'm going to agree with you. It's going to have many scrapes and holes along the spine, but it's going to probably be at least a 1.8 blue (maybe higher). A 1.8 Blue is value wise probably worth more than a 7.0 PLOD. The PLOD will look nice but..... it's a PLOD
  8. It was sad, but I can understand. The owner wanted that Blue label
  9. It's going to get a restored grade so...... here's the new question. Should you now do FULL resto to maximize the grade? I'll bet with CT to the creases in the lower right, a cover cleaning, a pressing, and whatever other magic a pro restorer can do, that the grade on this might max out around 7.0. If it's going to be a PLOD, would you want a 3.0-3.5 PLOD or a 7.0 PLOD?
  10. Where did he get the centrifuge microwave?
  11. Definitely CT scraping (and small holes). I've seen worse. This actually still presents nicely from the front. But look at the back cover..... 3 pieces are missing, 1 of which is sizable.
