  1. You might already know this but, because of the extreme black cover it's hard to find this in super high grades because the black cover shows every flaw.
  2. I'll stay with 6.5-7.0. Nice comic. tough in high grade
  3. To me it's obvious that it's a tracing around the legs. It would be a travesty if they said color touch on that. I agree that press will most likely not help.... but maybe.
  4. It's ok to have many photos, but you should always have the first 2 photos be the full front and the full back. Those 2 photos are where we viewers can get our best idea of grade. I'm going to say 6.5-7.0 but it definitely needs a press. I might change my mind when I see a full front photo.
  5. I use "registered mail" so I know for a fact it will get to CGC safely. AND I have them send it back the same way. Because I know it's so safe using Registered, I generally value them conservatively (because CGC charges a lot for high dollar books). If CGC disagrees with your valuation they will change the invoice.
  6. Simply insure it for the amount you feel the value is when you send it. Are you in Canada? Maybe ask a Canadian boardie what they do.
  7. You've got a lot of great discoveries ahead of you. We can't wait to see more. Are a lot of them Canadian copies? There are some boardies who focus on Canadian copies and they are going to drool over this Superboy 3
  8. I'm not sure what the reference is? Is he/she looking for an FF1?
  9. Staples are definitely original. Press it and get a solid 5.5
  10. I agree with others. This is a gorgeous GA Canadian. I'd put it at 7.0-8.0. I just checked the census and NO Canadian copy of this has been slabbed. And of the 40 US copies that have been slabbed only 8 are graded higher than 7.0 and only 2 are graded higher than 8.0. You've got a nice comic there!
  11. FF 1 CGC 4.5 B-4 OW/W pages (look at close-up of the label to see resto remarks) This comic has a VERY pressable ripple in the middle of the front cover (tough to see in my photos). A CPR would probably take this to a 5.0 restored. $4250 shipped
  12. Normal Rules No HOS or Probies US Destinations only Shipped USPS priority. PayPal or MO for sales under $1000. Personal checks, or USPS MOs for total sales $1000 or higher. 1st in the thread wins it and beats any PM'd deals. No return on slabbed comics. Raw comics can be returned within 2 weeks (in the condition that I sent them). You pay shipping on returns.
  13. Nice looking comic. Super Bright colors. Everything is snug at the staples. I know the free edge looks a little wonky, but it has not been trimmed. The tear on the free edge is about 3/4" long. A couple of shallow creases that should press out nicely. Back cover has a small tape pull by the free edge. Insides are in good shape (no tears or creases). Page quality is probably CR-OW. Anyone know how much it would cost to take the spine roll out (I'm almost afraid to have that done with CR pages)
  14. What do you mean "down under"? Yeah, they're comics. They're a smaller size. That second comic is funny, because you look at the cover and think some pretty spicy stuff is going to be inside. NOPE! Not one inner panel has a woman in it. I guess it's the whole "sex sells" philosophy.
  15. I love these Aussie covers, especially when they use change the images like this one. This is a great one! I'm really happy I got it.
  16. Yes.... "Understandable" is the right word to use.
  17. Yeah! It's SO obvious (that's where the black Marvel Logo should be), but still..... I missed it. I still got a cool Canadian comic out of the deal.
  18. These aren't GA, but I got them in the same batch as the Archie's so I thought I'd post them. Pretty risque
  19. Aussies seem to want Reggie matched with Veronica rather than Archie
