  1. Maybe they're going after a Jane Foster/Dr Donald Blake kind of relationship?
  2. Very nice! If I were you I would definitely crack it, try to get the resto removed and resub. +1
  3. I think it's a 5.5 but CGC has been grading stricter than what I think, so I'm going to say they'll grade it as a 4.5 - 5.0
  4. Perhaps "DBS" is involved. (Drunk Bidding Syndrome)
  5. I was thinking the same thing. That price is pretty much right at the 12 month average. Those two sales for $17k do seem kind of randomly high. I suppose we'll have to see what the next 4.0 goes for. -J. Is anything random with Af15? The last 3.5 went for $15,535 and the last two 3.0s have averaged $13,000, which makes the two "outlier" 4.0s that went for $17k seem right on target.

  7. Stan used to date a lot of his old sigs. I wonder how old this one is. I've got a Stan sig from 74. It's ball point pen too
  8. Here's # 3 With a couple of cool interior pages.
  9. Congratulations! I love them all but for some reason I have always wanted a copy of number 4. Can you show us the interior? I have a lot of early issues which I haven't identified yet. I think if you get on the Grand Comic Database you can identify your interiors. [font:Century Gothic]One picture is worth a thousand words...[/font] OK.... you twisted my arm. Here's #2

  11. Wow, a lot of Ultron hate. I actually enjoyed AOU quite a bit. But yes, Loki was magnificent in A1.
  12. I know someone else who found their missing page instantly when they listed it here.
  13. +1 Such a good movie. I may have to go rent it now that you put it in my brain.
  14. I've also got the Mickey Mouse Mag Vol 5 #12 that was the transition between the magazine and the WDC&S. How does that one compare in rarity to the comics?
  15. Looks like him, don't he? He looks like a crazy Charlie Sheen. Oh wait.... Charlie Sheen already looks like a crazy Charlie Sheen.
  16. TERRIFIC BOOKS! mm They are! (thumbs u I really like those early WDCSs. The covers are lovely, and so are the interiors -- a great deal of craft went into those early stories. Too bad #1 wasn't part of the deal
  17. Just got a great deal on these 3. They're low quality, but I couldn't pass up the deal. # 2 is missing the CF. Anyone have one? WDC&S 2 3 &4
  18. Did you guys see this one on ebay? Coverless AND no 1st wrap and it still brought $1125! I was thinking of bidding but once it went over $1k I was out. On the good side, the page quality was nice and it had the CF. http://www.ebay.com/itm/141772415335?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  19. I didn't see any back story on this book. Curious how it was obtained raw…? (and in agreement with other comments: a truly superb 4.0) Halfway down this page is where the backstory on this comic starts. Look for my Avatar. Looking back at my initial post I see that I graded it at 4.5-5.5 myself. In hand it sure looked nice. I think I was really overlooking the stains though. http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=7357146&nt=156&fpart=136 Yes, the photo above was pre pressing. I was hoping for a half grade bump. But I don't think I got it. I think it would have gotten a 4.0 grade regardless of the press. Ah yes - I had read that at the time but didn't recall it and put 2 and 2 together. What a dream story! (press and re-sub…? Just asking…) I already had it pressed. It's expensive to have a comic like this repressed and resubbed. Ah. So I guess the non color-breaking indentations on your scan were pressed out post-scan. Obviously, a half-grade bump on a book like this more than covers the cost of pressing/re-subbing...
