  1. RobotMan, have you ever seen this one before?
  2. Yeah, I've had this Pence copy for a while. The census says it's the single highest graded Pence copy. I suppose sooner or later another pence will grade higher, but until then I like the thought of having a "highest graded" AF15.
  3. I never get tired of showing this pence copy.
  4. Carol Danvers in the backround? No that's Patsy Walker. HellCat. Except I don't think they're calling her Patsy. Unless you're talking about Morgan Freeman on the other side.
  5. It's getting out of hand. I think entry into the club at a .5 complete is around 5,000$... And a good looking 1.8 like this one has a chance at $7000
  6. Beautiful, what are the odds that both incomplete copies are missing the same wraps? That is just crazy. These thick old "1 staple" comics simply couldn't hold their pages if they were read. It doesn't ever surprise me to see GA comics missing a CF, but it is a little strange that they're both missing the middle 3 cf's. I'm tempted to crack open my slabbed copy to get some copies of the interior Cf's.
  7. I was at my bank today and couldn't resist taking a group shot.
  8. I just added the one on the left this week. The 2 raw copies are missing the middle 3 wraps (bummer).
  9. I was seriously underwhelmed by that trailer. I will give it a shot, but I am worried. My thoughts all along were, "Please, stick to the source material." Now I feel like they've reworked the source material. It may not be the Preacher we all know and love. I do understand the "JC bloodline" comments above, and I am fine if they rework that, but if they rework too much it wont be Preacher anymore.
  10. Looks like it might make it to $100k this weekend
  11. I like to think that it's a sleeping Ego. Is Marvel that smart? I had that thought too.
  12. So did Antman make it to $100 mil in the chinese market? China has been great for these movies.
  13. Anyone else see that raw incomplete Archie 1 on ebay? "Fresh from an estate in central Kansas" I couldn't resist and made an offer to the guy. He accepted my offer so I am now the proud owner of my 3rd Archie 1 (yes, I guess I'm a hoarder), 2 of which are missing the middle 3 wraps (as if 1 set of middle wraps wasn't hard enough to find in the wild, now I have to find 2 sets of middle wraps). I was going to skip putting in an offer, but the cover looked really nice to me (better than both of my current covers), so I gave the guy a lowish offer and he went for it. Please please please someone find a coverless copy for me, or atleast some scans of the 3 inner wraps (I should have made scans of my complete copy before I sent it to Kenny for resto) I will post photos when I get the comic.
  14. The second they showed Gemma found an American Astronaut I thought, "OMG, it's Vance Astro!!!" That would have been SO cool and very unexpected. It would have made for a nice tie in to GOTG. But no.... it wasn't Vance.
  15. It's production budget is only $10 to $20 million less than most of the 1st phase Marvel movies. And we don't know what the marketing budget was, but my guess is it was larger than most of those 1st phase movies. In the end, my guess is Ant Man cost about the same. I don't know about that. Once you adjust for inflation those other movies would cost much more to make today. They did a great job of reining in the budget yet producing a high quality product with Antman.
  16. yup, that's how they seem to be doing it, and i think its ideal I doubt he'll ever even be referred to as the "Purple Man". I'm betting he's Killgrave the whole time.
  17. Those are just rat chews! Rat chews, I tell you! Well.... that invisible rat is going to keep chewing for a while. CGC needs to devise a way to drain the chips and dust out of the case.
  18. When the buyer gets this in the mail there's going to be a heck of a lot more pieces in the well.
  19. If you're going to have a massive drop off you want it at the very end of your run where it simply doesn't matter. If you have a massive drop off early in your run then I think you're in trouble. Antman had a really solid run even in it's later stages it was putting up impressive numbers I thought which allowed it to overtake Cap 1 and almost overtake Thor.
