  1. Interesting Spanish comic (from Spain) featuring 1st SMURFS appearance in Spain. "Los Pitufos" This comic is magazine size. Smurfs are on the cover & they have 1 interior page. STRONG #1 raw complete Cover & CF are snug at the staples. It looks like the comic was folded in half. 1/4" split at the top spine, 1/2" split at the bottom spine. Some creases, a super light stain on the back cover.... It's low grade maybe 1.8 - 2.0 $40 $30 +$5 shipping
  2. Just 1 comic today. Normal rules apply No HOS or Probies US destinations only Shipped USPS Priority Returns ok within 7 days (you pay shipping) Paypal or MO ok 1st in the thread wins it.
  3. I'm curious.... did you notice any other major jumps in the OSG for comics that may have been "hiding" something like this TN22 Also, does that put TN22 into the top 100 GA comics?
  4. Thanks for posting this. I haven't bought an OSG in a few years so I just assumed it was business as usual with regards to TN22 in the OSG. Maybe that's part of the reason CGC had no problem updating the label. What I especially like is that they put "predates Pep Comics 22" which I think is an important distinction.
  5. That's it!!! The blue hair, "S" on his sweater version of Archie. Interestingly, Wilbur had been out a few months and never caught on. Basically the same type of character but Archie won out.
  6. I have a pic on my computer that I can print up and put with the slab. I mean..... it's kind of like ST 110. Doc Strange is not on the cover (but at least is on the label) My thought with TN-22 is that without an Overstreet reference OR a CGC label reference, how is ANY ONE supposed to make an informed purchase?
  7. Here's a cool thing that just happened for me that pertains to Archie.
  8. Reviving this thread because........ I wanted to send my copy of Top Notch 22 in for slabbing. But I was ONLY going send it in if they were willing to put a label note. I gave them the research listed here and and in the GCD about the "On Sale Dates" for TN22 vs Pep 22. I was told the change would be made, and they even sent me the wording that would go onto the label which was... "Archie appearance in advertisement which pre-dates Pep Comics 22" So.... I sent my copy in. Of course I was a little skeptical that it would happen but..... here's what I got in the mail today Thank you CGC for listening, and for making what I consider to be an important label change. Maybe Overstreet will finally make an update soon.
  9. Remember the energy, excitement, speculation, and chatter every time an episode of WandaVision dropped? It was off the charts for a while. What happened to those days?
  10. They were SOOO lame!!! I love me some WC in the comics. I can only hope these losers get "powered up" by...... something... and then like you say, get some UFC guys to take over the roles. Marvel... DO IT!
  11. Who, SheHulk's or Megan T.S.s?
  12. Episode 1 = I was hopeful, but... it wasn't hooking me. Episode 2 = Ok, that was really short, but I kind of liked it... I'll give this a shot. Episode 3 = (the CG was much worse in this episode and somewhat distracting) Episode 3 after credits scene = I'm going to keep watching, but I'm not quite as hopeful
  13. I'm waiting for my Nov 11 sub to move. It'll be my last ever SlowEcon sub.
  14. I think they're grading comics "received" in mid Oct of '21 right now. It's just the whole "received" thing is deceptive.... they don't mark it as "received" until they open your submission. And last year your submission could have been sitting there for 2 months before they opened it.
  15. Nice Bold Colors. And the white spine is very white. There is the faintest of stains at the lower right corner. The light crease at the bottom-right of back cover looks like it'll press out.
  16. I really love these old Timely Funny books. This one is pretty nice
  17. I can't believe ANY of these thick "1 staple" books were able to make it thru a couple readings, but this one did. The cover is holding at the staple. Super light crease lower right
  18. I'd wager the time from when you shipped to CGC, to when you got them back was closer to 14-15 months. They were holding them in a room for 2 months before they were even being designated as received.
  19. OK, but how about this one? Since the page is one the left side, the notations are in the upper left. There are 3 panels and 3 notations. To me the most suggestive panel is the lower right, but the notation is a check or "V" as you say.
  20. Unfortunately, yes. Still.... interesting to think about.
  21. Well.... someone out there knows cuz my backing board said "Wertham copy"
