  1. I agree. Unless there's something really wrong with the back cover I think you'll get at least a 1/2 grade bump, and hopefully a fully grade bump.
  2. Nice comic with minimal flaws. If I can clean it up a little it'll be purty.
  3. Popeye 3 (1848 Dell) unrestored raw 7.0-7.5 Wow, this is an extremely nice looking copy. Gorgeous bright colors. A C&P will make it look even nicer. Cover & CF are snug at the staples. Except for a tiny bit of grime in the ghosts, the front cover is actually very clean. 3/16" tear at the top of back cover. CF has two 3/4" margin tears at the top. $125 $110+ $5 shipping
  4. Whoa.... that's a LOT of coloring. Over an already colored figure no less.

A press will really make this one sharp. 69 presents nicely but.... 1" spine split at the bottom, 1/4" spine split at the top. 3" Light vertical crease right in the middle (where the cat is spinning). Cover & CF are snug at the staples $45 $38 $33 for the two + $5 shipping

  10. Hi CGC, After many years of getting my slabs back in great shape, I've finally gotten a shipment back from you with many cracked cases. Coincidently it's the first time you've shipped to me thru Fedex instead of using registered USPS I'm not sure what the procedure is to get these corrected. Do I have to pay? Does insurance pay? Do I have to provide photos of damage (truthfully the shipping box doesn't look that bad, but I noticed there wasn't as much protection on the inside as you usually put and all the slabs seemed a bit loose and jostled) Of the 25 slabs in the case, 5 have cracks or small pieces chipped off at the corners. I'd like them corrected. Do you pursue the insurance? Please let me know what to do. The Invoice# is 4123678, and there are 5 damaged slabs. Thank you.
  11. Here is a page I found in a stack of coverless that wanted to share because it has a VERY interesting feature.... "Snappy" was a one page cartoon feature found in early Crack Comics. There's nothing super special about the feature BUT.... This particular page I found has the artist's info printed on some newsprint and glued to the back of this Snappy page. I imagine it was the way the artist Arthur Beeman got work? He would send single finished printed pages of his work around to different publishing houses? Kind of a cool piece of comic history. It's from Crack Comics 18 Has anyone seem anything like this before?
