  1. I found a low grade DD 131 at a very reasonable price on ebay (seller didn't put the number 131 in the title so I got it pretty cheap). This morning the seller sent me photos proudly showing him "shipping" the comic and then gave me the Delivery confirmation #. Check out these photos. Fingers crossed that it'll get to me with limited damage. Thank God it's low grade already.
  2. I did. It takes forever to get magazines slabbed. I'm guessing the memory in the fibers brought the waviness back.
  3. How is this only 8.0? They mention "rippling" in the notes, but when it's slabbed you don't see even a hint of it. Here's a top angle view too. I see a couple spine tics on the back cover, but still..... 8.0?
  4. I bought this raw on ebay at a shockingly low price. Just lucky I guess. Just got it back from CGC today. 5.5 actually ties for highest graded copy.
  5. It's a time capsule that YOU put together. Awesome!
  6. Nice book. Definitely in the 9s. Probably 9.4 - 9.6
  7. YES! I've never seen a cover want to show fingerprints more than that one. Horrible paper quality too. I'm lucky this was able to get an 8.5
  8. More likely Old Man Smithers and his twin brother in that monster costume.
  9. The notation is "detached cover". Maybe it was closer to detaching than I thought when I was checking it?
  10. Gorillaphant? Elephilla? Mastodape? Gorilooly Mammape? Whatever it is, it's awesome and would make a great monster for a Scooby comic.
  11. CCS did not press this one. I had it before it was sent in. CF was attached at the bottom.
  12. Coming back 8.0. Checked the graders notes and they're hitting it for "whole book rippling" So.... I had this one pressed (because as nice as it was, it DID have a ripple to it) I'm guessing the memory of the fibers brought the ripple back while it was waiting to be pressed. Hmmmm...... right now it's "highest Graded" on the census. Should I CPR this one? I still think it can get into the mid 9s
  13. Coming back as a 4.5. That's the good news. The grader's notes say "CF is detached". Hmmmm..... when I sent it in the cf was only detached at the top staple.
  14. Coming back as a 5.5. Your guesses were good. I tied the highest graded copy on the census. Woo Hoo
  15. It's part of the printing defect. (I'm on vacation in the carribean right now so I haven't been checking posts)
  16. But was CGC there to witness/verify the splintering?
  17. Can you imagine CGC "witnessing" the cutting up of an Action 1?
  18. Moon Knight is the rare Marvel character I'm not familiar with. I really liked the first episode. However, I don't think I can handle 5 more episodes of this much schizophrenia. I started to feel like I had schizophrenia (which might have been intended by the creators). Will he become more grounded in one personality at some point. Otherwise, the multiple personality trope is going to wear thin for me.
  19. Always a pleasure to complete a comic. I've had this Thrilling 19 cover hanging around forever and I just found a coverless complete copy to marry it to. Super low grade but a cool WWII "fighting Nazis" cover.
  20. It's part of the printing. It's on both of my copies but since the color strike is deeper on this one you see it more.
  21. Really nice sharp copy of the book. The colors are deep, the gloss is really shiny, The whites are really white. I count 1 spine tic on the front. The vertical line you see on near the middle of the right edge is not a crease it's part of the printing
