  1. We should probably get a few pics up of the Grails.
  2. I can't imagine bidding tens of thousands of dollars/pounds on a grail that hasn't been graded. Are they listing grades in the descriptions? The splash page sig is very similar to the one I have (I guess there was a con in London in '76?) I cringed when I saw the stress they put on the cover at the top staple to take this picture. They could have easily popped that staple.
  3. When the Will Ferrell movie "EuroVision" came out I was like "Eurovision... what's that?". My wife is from Spain and she was like, "YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT EUROVISION IS???" I had never heard of it.
  4. I have no clue what you're talking about HAHA
  5. Jeopardy is a beloved American game show who's long running host, Alex Trebek died 1 year ago. They've been looking for a replacement.
  6. Typical American, thinking our Game Shows are world wide
  7. Maybe YOU should be the next host of Jeopardy!
  8. I figured you would have the answer. WHAT TOOK YOU SO LONG? MY POST WAS UP FOR A FULL 2 MINUTES.
  9. Picked this up the other day. It had a tiny sticker over the price. I figured it was a US copy cuz I could see the date. The sticker amazingly came off easy and I was pleasantly surprised to see the pence price. Cool. Pretty good shape. Question..... when did the cover dates start appearing on the Marvel Pence copies. My copies from the early 60s don't have the date on the cover.
  10. Who are younger collectors? I'm 59 and consider myself a younger collector.
  11. I finally got my True Love Promises in. The interesting thing is, the indicia says "True Love Problems" and is printed on the inside of the cover. So they experimented with a "variant title", but neglected to change the name of the title in the indicia.
  12. Went thru his seller feedback, and found this gem. I feel like it was left by his mother. "I was able to get to know this seller well. I would say that he is one of the most patient people on earth lol. He is also very responsive and generally a good person. More relevantly, he definitely is someone that you want to do business with. 1000% recommend!"
  13. Got this in the mail today. From the 1940s. It's a hardbound collection of Pif Paf comics. Inside I found a Superman 18 story, and a Detective 62 story. Plus Tracy, Captain Marvel, Shadow, Phantom, etc...
  14. Do I dare ask what anyone would value this 2.0 GLOD on this thread or will I be pounced upon with pitchforks and torches? I find it hard to understand the value of Green Labels since they rarely come up at auction. I"M NOT LOOKING TO SELL IT, I'm just trying to understand value. I was thinking $20k, but with the 1.8 Blue that just sold for $33k... maybe more.
  15. With the way Stan wrecked a lot of covers I think you did ok. It's like he signed it in invisible ink. Think how nasty that cover would have been if the signature was in thick black sharpie ink (right thru Banners face). BTW.... congrats, it's a beautiful 6.0.
  16. Who's the artist? That's some great GGA. I know I've bid on this comic a couple times thru the years but have never won it. I might have to try again.
