  1. Marvel Team-Up Annual 1 has the first "New X-Men" appearance outside of the X-Men title. I was wondering exactly HOW early the appearance actually is. Where does it fit within the run of New X-men comics? The comic came out in 1976 but there is no month listed on the cover. X-Men 103 is the first XM issue that came out in 1977 so I know MTU Annual 1 is pre XM103.
  2. Has a small 1/4" tear on back cover bottom edge near spine.
  3. Nice copy. Has a 1/8" piece missing from the top of the spine, otherwise the spine is nice .
  4. Pretty nice copy. The very bottom of the spine has a tiny 1/4" split at the back.
  5. After seeing yours..... I went out and got one. Now....... I need to find a nicer one. I really like this cover.
  6. Although the smell could distract the villains too.
  7. Looks to me like Batman is distracted by the gams too.
  8. Maybe when Spiderman battles the A-Force he can try the "run in his tights" strategy and see if it works. So.... which one of the A-Force would say "Look at the Gams on that guy"?
  9. So basically we have Kav and Infantino to blame for this.
  10. Even the background buildings have funky perspectives to each other.
  11. I honestly can't see a leg or foot..... maybe a peg?
  12. I ran across this one today. It might be the most poorly drawn #1 I have ever seen. Especially look at the right hand in the foreground. I DARE you to find a more poorly drawn hand in comics! Is the artist even trying? Did the artist accept payment for this?
  13. My son built a theatre in his basement. Big screen, incredible sound. We watched it there on Sunday. I'm a fan of the book (and recently reread it to refresh for the movie). The biggest compliment I can give is.... I was transported... to Arrakis. Isn't that what we want when we go to the movies? It felt real to me. My biggest complaint is.... I liked the feel of it so much that I think it should have been given the GOT treatment so it could be fleshed out episodically instead of made into a movie. A 10 episode Dune with the "feel" of this movie would have been incredible. There are so many characters and politics involved just like GOT... it would have worked better that way (I never saw the episodic version of Dune that streamed. Was that any good?)
  14. Nice!!!! 50 & 53 are two of my faves, and that LWA is classic (I don't have one right now, but am going to start looking again)
  15. This +1. Many collectors forget to consider the 2nd option, but it's a good way to go when the 1st option doesn't work.
  16. USPS delivered my Af15 3.0 (which was shipped "registered") to a completely different neighborhood in my area (I thought "Registered" was supposed to be infallible). The USPS phone system would not allow me to speak with a human. A boardie who works for the postal service provided me with a number in which a human would answer. Within minutes I was on the line with the manager of my local PO, and she told me she would personally drive to pick up the package and deliver it to me, which she did. CGC was not at fault though, as they had addressed it correctly.
  17. So.... any thoughts about having the CT removed to go for the Conserved label?
  18. I sent a query to CCS about the ink, and Matt N responded that there was really nothing they could do for it unless I didn't mind it becoming a PLOD. Dang! Hmmmm..... I might experiment with some light scraping (in the white areas). I really don't like the doodles, but I LOVE this cover.
  19. WOW, what a difference. The yellow is 100% gone, The red is 95% gone.
