  1. I'm pretty much out of the slabbed game for various reasons, so am contenting myself with sweet raws. Not that easy to come by, in true grade, but they do bring a smile to your face when you find them.
  2. Or better yet, "I don't ship overseas." I'm willing to work with overseas buyers, but I'm not willing to bend over backwards any more then is already necessary to sell to them. If I say “free shipping” that means in the US, for overseas I’ll offer a reduced rate. That's fair and reasonable. If there is a 'free shipping' offer on the boards, I usually assume that it won't include me, but that there may be a 50/50 split, or somesuch offer, on the table. Never been disappointed with any of the boarders and how they've wanted to play it.
  3. Think I've finally scanned up all my raw X-Mens...surprised by how nice some of them were...and also surprised to realise that most of them came from Boarders.
  4. I'm admittedly terrible at remembering to do this, but it's about time I gave a HUGE shout-out to a whole load of boarders who have proved once again that this is the ONLY place to do business. 5. This is the text under the link to the marketplace. The mods expect us to police ourselves, which is exactly what we are doing. I guess you prefer that we protect or ignore scammers and deadbeats so that they can get away with it again and again? Sorry, not going to happen. "We do not monitor buys and sells. Please check out your buyer or seller before you commit to a transaction." Can we give you a custom title...Mr Reiterate?
  6. It has previously been made very clear that the mods have absolutely no interest in this. It is not their job, it is not their responsibility. Nor should it be. It's a community that should look out for each other and police itself.
  7. Whilst the bickering isn't great, I'm afraid that simply 'not dealing with them again' doesn't wash. You buy shoddy goods from a retailer, fine, don't go there again. This, however, is a community, and alerting the rest of the community to wrong-doing by a member is, IMHO, something of a duty. Or else it's not a community.
  8. Perv enabler go play with yourself Like there's another option....
  9. I am a cynical sort; how does a clerical error justify a lack of response to your inquiries? If you don't feel comfortable outing this person here, would you mind sending me a PM? This isn't anybody I want to do business with either. Clerical error? What sort of 'clerical error' results in a load of seperate PMs/e-mails being read and not responded to? Please also PM me with the name.
  10. A few books nabbed from the OO collection. It's cool getting to be the guy opening the box.
  11. NO. 'Cause then we'd all be on probation. You're married and way too busy packaging to take care of her. Oh, right, go ahead...burst my bubble.
  12. Er, Nick, I got some bad news for you... Why is that not a surprise...
  13. I know a little bit about moving that kind of volume through the marketplace, so much respect. The packing alone must be a nightmare....as well as signing all those certs! The missus has done half the COAs, so respect to her. But I have to say that I hate the packing.
  14. Nick.. I don't see how you could encounter this problem after selling a 1,000 ( + or - ) books in the last month or two.. 1,041 as of right now... And respect to the boarders involved...pretty much pain free. to all involved.
  15. Well that's the key isn't it? Let the seller know beforehand. But in my book, if you hit the and haven't notified me beforehand you don't have the money available then you are wrong, plain and simple... Letting your mouse clicker get ahead of your actual ability to pay promptly is a bad habit to get into... Jim Absolutely. NEVER, EVER, EVER post the without having the money in pocket, or a plan in place with the seller. The problem with this place is that, especially to the newbie, it's like being let loose in a sweet shop. So many lovely books, nice people to deal with, nothing in the way of repercusions...some people go frickin' mad and when the haze finally clears, they finally realise that they are unable to meet their obligations.
  16. I have to say that I have no problem in principle with delayed payments...just so long as agreement has been reached BEFORE a public signal of purchase is made. PM me, tell me your circs and I'm sure we can work things out. THEN go and post the And as an aside, Thomas has been 1st rate.
  17. One of my top five covers of all time... Jim Steranko at his best....with Marie Severin having to redraw the face.
  18. A few 'nothing' books from the USAF Mildenhall Collection...but in sweet shape!
  19. Bottom right hand corner...drags it down to VF/NM and turns it into one of the 'dogs' of the collection.
