  1. You will never really know because going by slabs is pointless. Nobody will slab a 5.0 of that book. A dealer/collector who process a huge amount of inventory, buys collections, etc. may have a better sense than some of us. Flying Donut has been into variants and errors since forever, I remember him on the ebay boards too in the early 2000s before I joined here... Dan, what are your thoughts? My experience is like 1 every 5,000 books I own, but that seems too small as I see people talking about them more frequently it would seem. @FlyingDonut
  2. I miss seeing custom titles, join up dates, and location info next to each users name. It adds flavor to the place, and while it's mostly cosmetic, there is some functionality to it, too. Some people have been here a long time but don't post much. I'd be more comfortable purchasing something from someone with a handful of posts if they've been here for years, as opposed to someone that signed up yesterday.
  3. It's just not the same. On the old forum, someone from the class of '02 would come in to the thread and talk about how CRAZY Friday used to be around here. On the new boards? Nothing.
  4. Thank you CGC, for providing us a place to promote, buy, and sell your product. I'd also like to thank the 14 year old kid that built the phone that I use to view the forum, all while making less in a week than I spend on lunch each day. Speaking of lunch, thank you to the pig that sacrificed his delicious, succulent flesh so that I can eat a yummy BLT while reading the forum. Thank you society, for making me a cynical, sarcastic jerk.
  5. Still trying to figure this out on my phone. When I highlight the the previous board members post, it seems to attribute it to the last person that posted instead of the correct boardie. If I try to highlight and include the board members name, it just takes me to their profile. And when I click the + next to quote this, it doesn't give me the option to include anything besides the last post in the nested quote. Any mobile users that can help, I'd appreciate it.
  6. +1 is a quick and easy way to put my in and say "I agree with this". I havent tested it out, but I don't see names attached to the likes. Seems rather pointless to me. I have no problem with it, though. But I WOULD like a dislike button to balance things out. Otherwise, every thread becomes a knob slobbing fest. Please like my comment.
  7. @kav just put @ and start writing the screen name, it should pop up
  8. Maybe he realized that no strategy guide in the world will stop Dark Souls from putting the boots to you. Again. And again. And again.
  9. The rumors right now are that ES6 will be in Valenwood. I'm kind of about that. But if the game is picking up where Skyrim left off, it would be interesting to see what's going on with the AD in their own territory.
  10. It's worth checking out Morrowind. Yes, at this point the graphics are dated, and the combat was mess even at the time it came out. But it's still one of my favorite games ever. No waypoints, limited fast travel, you actually had to read every word of text just to know where the hell you were supposed to go. Huge skill customization compared to later elder scroll games, a magic creation system that let you make any damn spell you could think of, and all your choices actually mattered. You couldn't be grandmaster of the mages guild, fighters guild, thieves guild, etc, because they were against each other. So were the 3 political houses in Vvardenfell that you could join. I always went house telvanni, because I wanted a mushroom house. Add to that the crazy landscape of Morrowind compared to the rest of Tamriel, which you see some of already in ESO, and the giant volcano Red Mountain in the middle of the island. Such a great game. There's a reason Bethesda had Vvardenfell destroyed in the lore by the time Skyrim came out, because people like me wouldn't shut the up about bringing it back, or putting out a remaster.
  11. None of it yet. We've been to mainland Morrowind, but Vvardenfell is the big island that TES 3 took place on, and it's been off limits so far. I can't wait to try out the Warden class, too. ESO has needed a new class for a long time.
  12. I can't wait to go back to Vvardenfell and have every NPC call me N'Wah again.
  13. Who are you saying that you think is Chip ? You. You smell like him, but I've been corrected. I bet that happens a lot in your life if this is how you behave Mickey. And this from the chap who is currently majoring on personal attacks in the moderator action thread! I'm not sure you'd know how to be nice if you tried. I wont be finding out however, as I've added you to the "awful, awful people" who I now ignore list and will have a little chuckle to myself as your temperature rises, as it inevitably will...... Why didn't you get a strike for your shill account?
  14. I have to see more games before I consider picking one up. While I'm sure they're great, I need more then Zelda 24, Mario 52, and Mario Kart 458.
  15. I was hoping you would vunteer to do that. I hope someone will vunteer to snooker my co
  16. Enough about Chippah, hasn't anyone else noticed that it's been over 24 hrs since Sparky's last post? I'm getting concerned.
  17. To be fair, he turned on the thread first. Oh believe me, I'm not complaining. I need some snowy day entertainment.
  18. And here's where the thread turns on Sparky.
