Hopefully I'm understanding you correctly Steve, but are you sure you haven't selected 'Condensed' by mistake?
Thanks. I didn’t knowingly change it. I just assumed “yet another thing gone wrong with the CGC forums”. I should know better than that.

Not really a Safari issue, but I noticed a couple weeks ago that you can’t read or follow posts from the “All Activity” link. It still shows there’s a new post, but one has to click on each to read a post. Used to be much easier to see discussions in all areas of the boards previously.

I think you are too focused on character first appearances. I also get the sense you are not as into GA. Consider these books:
31 - Detective 31
33 - Detective 33
86 - Flash Comics 86
Last issues can be very significant. I view All-star 57 as more important than All-Star 58, for example. Which is why for 89 I would pick Marvel Family 89 over Fin Fang Foom (really?).
I also think you could be more creator focused like for 20 going with Swamp Thing 20 over Scorpion (who?).
For GA I’d offer Detective #32 for consideration. As I understand it, this is the first time Batman or any costumed hero-type used a firearm in comics.

I didn't see this post until now. Belatedly, here is a picture of the insert. This one is from an Iron Man #42. I had asked about this apparently unusual insert 2.5 years ago! Might as well try again. Does anyone know the issues in which Overseas Diamond Sales inserts appeared, and where to find census estimates?
I believe that date range was April 1971 through April 1973. I doubt there’s any remotely accurate census estimates of these books.

I believe this art was intended to be a variant cover for #6, but the printer mixed things up and ran off copies as #4. Not much of a story.

If you see something on the list that you already bought, please let me know. I am not infallible. Actually, I mostly fallible.

Just a routine printing mishap from this era. My copy has the color next to the CCA stamp, but the yellow shading inside the “D”.

Huh, just read through the August 2023 DC Solicits at bleedingcool.com and yet another month goes by without a solicit for Batman 137
I was wondering about that myself.

Fwiw my copy of #135 (Jimenez) isn’t scheduled to ship until 5/10, so there must be copies floating about.

Archie comics has several good ones. ”Afterlife With Archie”, “The Married Life” and volume 2 of the Life With Archie title which features the characters in the future as 20-something’s jump to mind. My favorite though has to be the long running Little Archie title(s) which is often overlooked, but is absolutely an alternative universe as it differs quite a bit from the teenagers we’ve become familiar with over the decades.

Should anyone else happen to notice, the newest members have square/rectangular avatars. You’ll see this in posts in the “newbie questions” threads. Outside the thread itself, the avatars are round.

Circles are fine for the coin forums, but I think us comic folks should keep the squares.

It’s been that way on a tablet/iPad for quite a while. One of those things I just don’t think about any more.
