  1. For some reason Blackhawk sticks in my mind, but don't recall an issue number. I did read something once where Chuck said there were only a handful of duplicates. Blackhawk #9? Link to Heritage Auction description
  2. Cool. Was that how Mad used to mail out subscription copies?
  3. That E-Bayer was mentioned in this thread a few months ago.
  4. I can do up a salad. Now the dressing will have to come from a bottle unless your ok with just oil & vinegar.
  5. No. I believe the Mennen inserts were only used in Marvels for a month or two in '73. To add, all comics with a Mennen insert should have the MJ insert as well.
  6. The Russ Cochran reprints were my first exposure to EC, and had seriously terrific art and stories!
  7. I thought they each asked a reasonable question. I didn't get a sense of any sort of "defending" or "spider monkey-like" assailing.
  8. Fwiw, I never read this title until June or July of last year. My local library had the collections available, so I started there. I think this is the best new comic/character to come along in over a decade. It's both fun and serious, and has sensibilities that make me think of SA Marvel. People that like the "tights and capes" type books should give this a read. I wouldn't expect new people to chime in on this thread, as it seems it's mostly a speculation thread for individual books.
  9. I'm certain many noticed that same coincidence.
  10. Hey, guys! Welcome to the boards. Lots of great info available here regardless of your collecting or reading interests. Be sure to check out The N00b Guide when you have the chance. That'll answer many of the basic questions you may have. Enjoy your time here!
  11. I'd imgine there's members here that dabble in video games as well as comics. "mintcollector" is one person I recall that has an active interest in older video games. Give the thread a few days to attract interest.
  12. First Hellcat as an Avenger? I have one copy and sold one, but $550?!?! That was mostly a pointless comment by me. I'd think it's priced that high to draw attention and encourage a naive buyer to submit a $400 bin (that would be readily accepted). I noticed he has a raw Sub-Mariner #41 9.9 for sale as well. That's a pretty nice grade.
  13. I've never seen one of these in person. Were the stories reprints from older comics or adaptations from the cartoons?
  14. That was in that 'Best Copper Age Haircut' thread. I think she came in fifth place. hahahaha I have to go dig that up! Best Hair Of The Copper Age
  15. Harvey maintains a separate list of buyers and sellers with links to their specific transgression(s) on the first page of this thread.
  16. Yes, but it was from Stan's scripts. Stan had nothing to do with the Vision... ... I took the "Stan's scipts" post above as being a tongue-in-cheek, prodding reference to the ol' "Stan did Everyhing" / "Jack did Everything" debate which is a perennial favorite around these parts... I took the comment the same way.
  17. There's another person enjoying the journals over in coin land. A user, eva8133, currently has sixteen different threads posted on the front page.
