  1. The probation list mentions "excelsior1986 (added 9/09/12) AKA Soup1998". I thought Soup1998 was campbelljh3? Unless I missed the mention of this, these are two different people.
  2. when FROSTED THEEEEEE RRRRRREEE GGGGREEEAT!!!!! I love me frosted Lucky Charms MAGICALLY DELICIOUS! oh and... These were at the top of my list for so many reasons. Always had cool prizes in each box, too.
  3. You had Wacky Racers which included Penelope Pitstop. This then morphed into Dastardly and Muttley in their Flying Machinnes (Stop the Pigeon). Not sure Captain Caveman made an appearance, but could be wrong. Personally I am a Hong Kong Phooey fanboy It had one of the best theme tunes ever. Oh, then there's Danger Mouse, Batfink and Top Cat Thanks for the info! I remember Penelope Pitstop, I was thinking that was a different show. Hong Kong Phooey was cool. Never saw the other three mentioned.
  4. Is this Muttley and Dasterdly(sp)? I remember a cartoon where they had a plane and would chase after a pigeon that carried military secrets or something. The theme song sung "catch that pigeon, catch that pigeon now!". I know the name "Wacky Racers", but don't remember watching it, unless these were the same show? I sort of recall Captain Caveman, too. Same show? I'm confused.
  5. Nice! A clever Jughead with a solution to an early tv viewing obstacle. Where there even six different channels in the early 60's?
  6. Today's the Birthday of Jacques Lemaire who was an enormously popular Hall Of Fame player for the Montreal Canadiens hockey team. I would expect Jimmers to be running wild through the streets in celebration of Jacques' storied career until the wee hours at least.
  7. Here in the states we had Tom Snyder, a rather staid and conservative talk show host who seemed out of touch with anything related to youth or pop culture, but he would have some pretty notable guests from the new wave or punk eras on his show. There's a DVD collection out there with his interviews with musicians from that time that's fun to watch.
  8. I've always missed out on being part of any good sub-cultures!
  9. The new DD book is one of the best titles out there. I am really enjoying this title. The Chris Samnee art gives the book a unique flavor, and really elevates the reading experience for me.
  10. I just read a new Daredevil. Ant Man got all tiny and walked around inside Matts head. Doc Strange was in it, but didn't cast any spells. Foggy's fed up with Matts erratic behavior again. Mark Waids done a nice job with this book.
  11. for Ant people ...Throw your safety overboard and join our insect nation...
  12. I am jazzed abit Wonderful book I like Pretty cool. I've never seen one of those in person. Is the interior all B&W? That title is one of my (many) favorite reads of the bronze age. Have always been a big Doug Moench fan.
  13. Every real music fan knows the more unknown a band is, the better they are!
  14. and smoke mega spliff while having punky reggae party prepare bacon rashers have bread available for toasting peanut butter optional oil for chips be careful keep flour on hand in case of inflammable episode red stripe and banks Some bacon on white bread with Miracle Whip would hit the spot right about now. Anyway, what's the difference between "inflammable" and "flammable"?
  15. It's cool that England also invites musicians like Lydon to speak out on current affairs type shows. Here in the states, next week at the Commonwealth Club, Metallica and Wu Tang Clan are going debate the proposed extension of FMLA allowable maternity leave benefits and the effect it might have on small to medium sized businesses.
  16. You must be an employer. Some new hurdle to overcome?
  17. seems my troubles were so far away Now it looks as though they're here to stay She came in through the bathroom window... and I saw her standing there it's all too much I look at the floor and I see it needs sweeping
  18. Is it weird that I like cooking chocolate? No weirder than baking it, I suppose.

  20. Nice book to have. (thumbs u New acquisition? This month, thanks! More proud of this tho... Pretty cool cover. Not familiar with Purple Claw or a lot of GA for that matter. The GA stuff I know is primarily Superman related, Archie, EC, and a few specific "funny" titles. I'm always amazed at just how many good stories and great art are from that era.
  21. I saw these guys ages ago and they covered Holiday in Cambodia and the Batman theme song.
  22. From my earliest days of reading Marvel & DC I always looked forward to the letters pages as this was how I knew there were others with a similar passion for the characters and stories. I felt a peculiar connection to those who had letters published previously as they seemed, at least to me, to be the more serious collectors. Some years later I learned of T.M. Maple's passing in a comic book and was deeply saddened as his letters contributed to my enjoyment of comic books.
