Judging by what I have heard this morning...Orillia may have been the biggest debacle in Canadian Comic book convention history, from an attendee, vendor and guest viewpoint. When you've shutdown your FB page due to all the complaints since last night, it can't be good. -

Another great success...went with 13 boxes or so, came home with five. Three were slab boxes so I expected most of those to come home. This show never ceases to amaze. Jim -
If Billy is taking valuable time out of his day to leave the GA forum and come slum it in SA, give the man what he wants. Jim

In the middle of processing an Original Owner Bronze and Copper Age DC collection that just came in. Will hopefully have 500-1000 new dollar books exclusively for this show. DC 100 Pagers, Canadian Price Variants all for $1.00 each. I expect most to sell by the end of the day, so come as early as you can and come to "Guardian/ER Comics Corner" first. Can't wait. Jim -

Iceman and I did both Motor City and Nickel City last year but will only be attending Motor City this year...due to us having a surprise 30th BDay party for Eric’s wife on Saturday (hope she doesn’t read the boards) At Motor City both the Blazing One and Greg Reece will be setup, so you know there will be amazing books to be had. i even hear there will be a Greggy and JoeyPost sighting at Motor City this year, so you know it will be a quality show. Jim -
Ask the “Blazing One”???
Guardian Comics replied to Guardian Comics's topic in Silver Age Comic Books
I was too scared to even look at your face. Of course it had to be the row of ASM’s. JoeyPost was the funniest afterwards when he asked to look at a book from the “Fall Collection”, you know the books that fell LMAO. -

OMG I can’t believe that you posted that...Pitch Perfect isn’t my favourite movie but I sure do enjoy a good Pitch Perfect movie...and the first three were classics. My turn... NAME : The Iceman SIX THINGS I CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT : Comics, Scotch, Sleeping In, Green Arrow, JJ, the Broncos ON A TYPICAL FRIDAY NIGHT : Once Tracy has fallen asleep, I’m on Kijiji, MCS, CL, CC, HGC, Instagram and FB trying to see what has slipped through the cracks that I can make money on. THE MOST PRIVATE THING I AM WILLING TO ADMIT : That Jim is actually as awesome as he thinks he is, and I’m glad he’s my BFF. @wasonff @iceman399 -

And see I watched Ultron last night, so I could watch something with some plot and story instead of nothing but punching. If we were all the same, this would be boring.

Is it a bad idea to reholder all my books?
Guardian Comics replied to snownado's topic in Comics General
I just had this exact same discussion with a good customer of mine... Yes, it would be a silly idea and for all these random reasons... - cost - there are guys who only collect pre design change slabs - old labels in most cases command more, with an old label white pager being the gold standard of graded comic books - why would you put your comics through the rigours of reholdering? Stress during, shipping, cracking of the slab and encapsulation. - what if your parcel got lost, sure it’s insured but do you wanna collect them all over again? - what are the benefits, you hang them on your wall as art, or in a short box away from the elements? -
Didn't say it was bad...just indifferent after my first viewing, will be going again on Monday to soak more of it in.
-
I think what IceMans point was, wasn't that line from the Deadpool trailer??? I didn't hear it in my showing of Infinity War
-
I've said it before ad nauseum, AOU, Winter Soldier and Civil War is THE holy trilogy to me. Surpassing SW, ESB and Jedi of my youth. I want to love Infinity War more than anything, and unfortunately I don't. Of course I'm the guy who would enjoy a superhero movie without an entire punch being thrown, so what do I know. A two and a half hour UFC card is not for me. I'd go on further but after all these years I still have no idea how to use spoiler tags, and don't wish to ruin it for anybody.

That’s exactly the one word I texted to a friend after getting out of the movie.

Figured Gold has an ask Gator thread, so Silver should have its own thread. Bob...which type of dance do your prefer? Ballroom or Tap?
