  1. Is this true?!!!! This alone could sway my choice over to the PS4. Same here but I hear you will need a Playstation Plus membership to play online http://ca.ign.com/articles/2013/06/11/e3-2013-playstation-plus-required-for-ps4-online-play At its E3 press briefing, Sony confirmed that PlayStation 4 will require PlayStation Plus in order to play games online. This is similar to Microsoft's current approach to online gaming with Xbox Live Gold. At the same time, Sony also confirmed that you'll be able to play all single-player games as well as use all media services without subscribing to PS+. Your current PS3 membership will transfer over to PS4. The only reason I don't already have a Playstation Plus membership is because I have an XBox Live Membership, and don't want to pay for both. But, that said, I think that currently the Playstation Plus membership is the better deal. With the discounts and free game downloads Sony offers, it's easy to get back the cost of the membership. XBox offers no such incentives, the membership is basically forced on you if you have the console. So as long as Sony continues to make the membership worth having, I'm ok with that. My initial draw to the 360 was Halo and the online gameplay. As time has gone on, I find that I use my friends list less and less, and aside from Halo 4 (which I'm getting a bit bored of), I hardly ever play online anymore.

  3. I've never played any of the games, but a friend got me interested in the upcoming Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection last night. Anyone support the recommendation? Also, another friend sent me the trailer for Beyond: Two Souls. Looking forward to it. As for the new upcoming systems, neither the XBox ONE of the PS4 have impressed me so far. I own both an XBox360 and a PS3, and have been leaning more and more toward the PS3 as the main console lately, after having only had a 360 for a few years.
  4. Probably. Sony and Microsoft have jumped on the train of making new consoles, and Nintendo had beaten them to it by several months. I'm yet to be impressed by any of the upcoming systems.
  5. Bought a few Spidey slabs from me. Everything went well, and he came back for more comics!
  6. Did a PM deal with Nick for two raw TOS. Everything went perfect and payment was fast once we reached a deal. I hope to deal with him in the future.
  7. I could have sworn this said you got shot on Fulton a block away from the HOF. I was gonna say, parts of Canton are bad... but... whoa... A bit down the road in the "Newton Zone" maybe. My aunt lived off Newton Ave and always talked about hearing gunshots and drive bys.
  8. I was in Canton at the time. (thumbs u Crazy small world. I'm from the Canton area. Just a twinkle in my mother's eye in the '70's though. Went to Kent State University. We lived in a townhouse on Fulton and could see the HOF across the valley from our porch. My Great Uncle (who raised my mom) owned a grocery store about half a block from Republic Steel. Wow. I live in Minerva, but work in Canton making saw blades. My grandfather retired from Republic Storage. I have a great uncle who lives by Republic Steel. I get shots at Aultman Pain Management on Fulton a block away from the HOF.
  9. Very cool Scarlet Spider statue, never saw one before. Killer room.
  10. I've been avoiding The Walking Dead since it came out. The whole craze seem a bit much and I've never been a fan of the zombie genre. Then the tv show came out. I watched the entire first season on Netflix in one day. I hated it. Then, over in the Pay It Forward thread in Comics General, I picked up the first three TPBs of the comic, because I like to know what I don't like. I didn't hate it. If fact, I kinda liked it. After reading them, I gave them to my brother's wife (who is a huge fan of the show) because I recently bought the first compendium from Rupp. Within the last 24 hours, I've read the entire compendium. I really like the comics and can't wait to get the second compendium. I'll give the show another chance, but for the most part I think I'll stick to the comics.
  11. I'm okay with having to mentally work for a resolution, but being left without the writer even have decided which explanation is solid is disappointing. I loved the series, it's just the ending which gets me.
  12. Correct, but combiner makes a good point above about the fact that a virus wouldn't be global instantly. But perhaps it's a bit of both?
  13. Its stuff like this that make me hate management. How the F doesn't anyone with common sense see Millions of FREE money will be made if one of the movie companies makes this trilogy. Are all executives in this country this stupid? What am I am saying of course just look at how stupid our government is. I saw this video a few months ago. The differences were a bit much and a big chunk got omitted, but at least it was a start. This series would be easy to make a movie of, there wouldn't even have to be big budget special effects other than at the beginning of the plague. The rest is fairly down to earth.
  14. Tell me about it. On the one hand, I appreciate the audacity. On the other, I don't appreciate the punch in the gut. If it had a more conventional finish, we'd hear it mentioned more than we do whenever BKV's name comes up. People still talk about Y while EM is now an afterthought. A shame since EM is a solid read in its own right. I read the first tpb of Ex Machina. It was good, but not something I immediately wanted to read the rest of. The comment about the ending sounds kind of like what BKV did at the end of Y.
  15. In my opinion, yes. They are well put together and they are divided by story arcs.
  16. So which explanation do you think is the definitive one Vaughan referenced?
  17. i just finished reading the entire series in order. I didn't like how the series ended without a definitive explanation. So, my question to those of you who've read the series, which explanation do you think is the one which caused the "plague" that killed all the men, and why did Yorick and Ampersand survive? Here's Vaughan's take:
