  1. I showed my fiancee this one and she got instantly jealous!!
  2. Nice! I collect the Marvel packs from the 90s. Where did you find these? And if I may ask, what's the normal price range on them?
  3. My CGC order just passed in the "Graded" stage, and anything that hasn't been claimed already through PM will be up for sale. Here's a glimpse of the list and grades that'll be available. 4. Bought stuff during Clooneython 11. Everything was perfect!
  5. So Mark Bagley finally schedules an appearance and it's in Toronto less than two months from now... not fair.
  6. That's my next book after I finish A Dance with Dragons. How are you liking it? Pretty good so far. It's interesting to see how different some of the characters are compared to the TV versions. I recently purchased Double Dexter, the newest novel. I have read all the others. I've watched the first four seasons of the show. It's very interesting to see the difference between the two mediums.
  7. My girlfriend bought me two books I've been looking forward to reading for some time: Parasite Eve by Hideaki Sena and Tyran Grillo (the original Japanese sci-fi horror novel translated into English, not the PSOne game ) and Stone Spring by Stephen Baxter. But, she says I have to finish the two books I've been reading first before starting either. I was reading the Bourne Ultimatum when I got my copy of George R.R. Martin's fifth A Song of Ice and Fire book, A Dance With Dragons. I put Bourne on hold to start Martin's book. Then I received the new Terry Goodkind book, The Omen Machine. So I put Martin on hold and tore through the Goodkind book in a week. I went back to A Dance With Dragons but kind of got stuck because So it's back to reading Bourne so I can then read Martin and get on to the two new books...
  8. Jeff bought a card binder full of cards from me. He was very patient while waiting to see about another board member whom had expressed interest first. Once the deal was made, he paid right away and provided great communication the whole time. Thanks again, Jeff!
  9. You should enjoy the read. If you like the Uncanny X-Force also pick up the 2008 X-Force series, if you have not already done so. (thumbs u I did enjoy it. The ending was great. There is a overview of the 2008 series in the back, and it does sound interesting. Kinda curious about how the whole Angel/Archangel thing happened. Next up to read is the Dark Tower The Long Road Home hardcover (with the Amazon exclusive cover) that my girlfriend got me as well. (thumbs u
  10. My girlfriend got me this. I've wanted to read this for a while... (just playing with my new scanner)
  11. I have a 9.6 Gold Edition of this issue signed by Andy. Love this issue. Silly CGC for mixing up the Kubert brothers...
  12. What's the deal with the ASM (vol 2) #19? Is it another of those little know low print runs? Or are they just never in NM condition? I've tried to snag one or two just out of curiosity, but they've always went for more than I was willing to pay for something I knew so little about...
  13. I'm not sure I could bring myself to charge that much for one if I found it, though. Maybe because I'm not one of the people willing to throw out $500 for the issue, so I couldn't expect someone else to... But if you guys haven't found one, I doubt little old me ever will.
  14. I just found out that this is not only one of only two graded copies, but also the lone 9.8 and SS at the same time!!! Thank you Cosimo!
  15. I don't even really collect Wolverine, especially this issue, but for whatever reason, I read this whole thread a few weeks back and ever since have been on the look out for copies of this issue without the discussed defect. No luck. Interesting.
  16. Bought the Onslaught Reborn and Marvels series from Steve. Excellent transaction, the comic were in even better shape than expected!
  17. 28 now, 29 mid next month. Returning from not having collected comics since my teens, so about 13 years or so...
  18. I know I wasn't involved in the transaction being discussed, but I feel obligated to throw in a word or two for Wil (WDMARVEL COMICS) and just international shipping in general. I shipped a CGC comic to Spain recently. In an envelope, even, at the buyer's request. It took over a month to get there despite the claimed two week maximum set by the USPS. The comic arrived perfectly. I had marked the customs paper "framed papers". I felt that wasn't lying, because CGC comics are just framed paper when you really get down to it, and the envelope was opted by the buyer because it was a cheaper thing with customs to receive a letter, or "papers", so fine whatever. I had pausible deniability, if nothing else. International shipping takes time, period. On to Wil. I came here once a few months ago and took a beating for pricing a CGC comic wrong. I felt that the replies I got were not nice, and so my replies were not nice as well. So big strike out for me. I made a mistake. However, I gave it a few months to blow over and I came back. The first purchase I made was from Wil. Long story short, I bought from Wil, he bought from me and then we negotiated a trade deal for something I wanted that he had and something he wanted that I had. Wil has never done me wrong and and I credit him for my continuing to come back to this forum everyday (sometimes several times a day). Wil has been a great asset to me here, and in my comic collecting in general. So, to the original poster of the idea of putting Wil on a Probation (Unknownworlds, I believe), let me go out on a limb here and say this: Wil should not be on probation or any negative status of any kind. If something he sent to you got held up at customs or even lost in the mail, he has already offered to eat the cost of such a thing happening, I would think that shows his honesty. I think you should give the package more time to arrive. But I hereby stick up for Wil, and if money is what it takes to keep him on a good standing here, I'll personally go buy $275 worth of stuff from him just to keep him here. Ok, over.
  19. So I posted this here last month, and after posting it, the person I had bought it from on eBay a while back got a hold of me, here on the forum, and through our talks, I picked up some more CGC SS comics. Wasn't expecting that, but glad it happened. [commentary removed] Here are the recent pick ups from the person who sold me the Sensational Spider-Man #2:
