  1. Still trying to ID the piece, it may have appeared in 1996 Previews or a magazine such as Comics Buyers Guide, Wizard, Hero, Comics Journal, Comics Pro, etc. Here's the link again: http://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1420990 Any further help would be most appreciated ! Thanks, Gal
  2. I too think it may have been a promo piece, but I'm not sure it goes all the way before Sensational Spider-man #0; Mike Wieringo only started his run with issue #8 and I don't think he was supposed to join the Spider-team until Dan Jurgens quit.
  3. Hi guys, I'm happy to add this beautiful Mike Wieringo piece from his early days at Marvel: http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=1420990&GSub=185320 I'd be very thankful if you could help my identify the original U.S publication of this piece. I've managed to find international published versions of this cover (see 'additional images'), but have yet to find it's original use. My spider sense is tingling that I've already seen it published many years ago, but just can't recall where (maybe it was used as a house ad or magazine ad to promote Mike Wieringo's run on Sensational Spider-man). Any info would be greatly appreciated. Much thanks, Gal
  4. Hi guys, I'm still looking for pages, so if you have any cool published art by Dan Jurgens and Greg Larocque - please contact me at: galschwart@gmail.com Much thanks, Gal
  5. Hi all, I have 2 nice CAF updates; 1) Norm Breyfogle's Mageddon pinup from JLA SECRET FILES #3 . The Justice League VS the Ultimate Weapon: http://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1413993 2) Jerry Ordway's Avengers roundtable meeting from AVENGERS #16 (1998). All the big guns are here: http://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1414111 Thank you for taking a look, I hope you'd enjoy them too. Best, Gal
  6. Hi guys, I'm looking to buy FLASH art by Greg Larocque and/or SUPERMAN centric art (from any title) by either Dan Jurgens or Kerry Gammill. Please feel free to contact me at: galschwart@gmail.com Much thanks, Gal
  7. A nice little CAF update, which happened only thanks to Hector Medina and Joshua McCoy - thanks guys ! Here it is; FLASH #1 (1987) page 6 by young Butch Guice: http://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1408667 Cheers, Gal
  8. Couldn't have said it better myself; What I really liked, except for the amazing details (more than in most none-Battle Chasers covers), was that Joe Mad gave each of the girls a different body type and specific facial features, while still staying true to his trademark, manga-influenced style.
  9. A Joe Madureira cover from 1998; never thought I could ever possibly have one in my collection (let alone a cover this good, IMO of course ?): http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=1405506&GSub=183834
  10. Thank you ! With current prices of the Charest market, It's probably my FINAL Charest piece (though that's what I thought the last time...?). I could possibly have bought a decent cover or two for the cost of that trading cards triptych, but I don't regret it (for now)... And here is the image, finally figured it really is easy enough to post it in the new boards format: Edit: somehow, the image size and resolution were reduced, so I still need to get a better handle of it, full size can still be viewed here: http://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1404469
  11. Just posted on CAF a piece which I consider a 'guilty pleasure' kind of a piece; It was created in the early years of the Travis Charest's career, before his art had fully bloomed into his own, unique and critically acclaimed style. Still, as much as I love his more mature, later artwork, it was these early works of his that made me a fan: http://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1404469 I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I do.
  12. Posted a couple of more nice piece; a Birds Of Prey page from one of the early days one-shots and a cool ARES 1991 trading card art which (surprisingly) may tie-in to the Wonder Woman movie: http://www.comicartfans.com/gallerynew.asp?GCat=5981 Cheers, Gal
  13. FS: Kitson ADV Of SUPERMAN hyper detailed DPS and a cool Breeding ARES ! Hi guys, Offering a few very nice DC pieces, on behalf of a close friend: http://www.comicartfans.com/galleryroom.asp?gsub=183078 Feel free to contact me at: galschwart@gmail.com Thanks for looking, Gal
  14. Got a nice express package today, with a great DOOMSDAY page by Gil Kane and Jerry Ordway: http://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1398337 Loving their collaboration !
  15. Hi Hal, I'd assume both cover and interior page of the same issue would be considered as first appearance, with the cover probably getting more premium. Thankfully, in this case (as well as with the other first appearance pages still in my possession) there was no cover appearance, so it makes the page a clear cut, sole first.
  16. I think one of my most recent CAF posts might have been be a little under-appreciated; If Trencher has 17 fans, this guy probably has around 7: http://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1391733 Still, a first appearance of a key (?) '90s supporting character... Thanks for looking (this time around ), Gal P.S: I'm really enjoying many posts on this thread...
  17. Following page can be found here: http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=1391734
  18. CAF update: "LEX LUTHOR THE SECOND, IF YA PLEASE..." Hi all, I've added a nice first appearance page for one of the most fun, staple characters of the early '90s Superman books - Lex Luthor, the second ! Please feel free to check it out here: http://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1391733 Cheers, Gal
  19. The one benefit of selling to a good friend is that if you do the puppy eyes long enough (even over the net), they will succumb (thanks Reggie): http://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1391211 Cheers, Gal
  20. Hi all, I've just reopened my little CAF gallery for public view after being a few months off (for a while, only the FS art was up); My latest 'new' posts are actually pieces I've recently bought or traded back on a 'buy back frenzy' (with even more returning pieces to come): http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryDetail.asp?GCat=5981 So far, most of my 2017 purchases are pieces I had sellers remorse about. I wonder if it's it a phase I'm going through (midlife Crisis of infinite... blah blah) or did anyone else go through such a 'buy back frenzy' (should I look for help ) ? Anyhow, enjoy the art and feel free to share your buying back stories... Cheers, Gal
  21. First time a pro (not the kind that featured in Garth Ennis books) ever drew me and my wife (and I was not in the know): http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=1386251&GSub=166736 Yup, it's Greg Larocque once again drawing the best FLASH out there (and Oracle too !). I hope you enjoy it. Cheers, Gal
  22. Ron Frenz pencils, Brett Breeding inks, 'nuff said ! http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=1365125&GSub=136781 Happy Holidays !
