  1. Don't think I've ever seen that one! Great! That's what the guy gets for being a stalker!
  2. How about the fact that ... 4) the cover is a classic! Killer!
  3. Nice way to celebrate a World Series Win.....the Mass Pedigree! The Werewolf looks like Johnny Damon!
  4. I have fond memories of buying that book off the newstands....when I had just gotten hooked on Marvel! Really nice copy! PS....I am currently updating the scans attached to my Avengers registry set, and also noting which issues are pedigree books in the set description. Should be done in a couple of days,... this way someone can go right to the 50% of the books in the set that are indeed pedigrees.
  5. It's taken this Silver Age guy over a year of posting on the boards to make his way over for a close examination of the threads in Golden Age. I think....I'm falling in love! Great Books! What history! I love how politically current the books were back then. You don't see that now, unless I missed the Ultimate FF capturing Bin Laden....
  6. Great! Rhino, can you give us a quick synopsis of the cover story? The guy with the little head always intrigued me...... WHO IS HIM?
  7. I'm only sending in 9.8s and 9.9s for slabbing right now.
  8. They have some minor stress marks and dings that don't show up in the scans......that would bring them down to 8.5....but I guess you never know, they might grab a 9.0.
  9. I purchased these from Metropolis as raw...just got 'em....they were listed as 8.5s, which is about right I think. There don't seem to be a huge number of slabbed OAAWs out there....I think most of them are still unslabbed. According to sckao's list, the collection includes issued from the 120's through the 190's, with 2 or 3 copies of some issues, so they are out there.
  10. What's been really nice is the fact that due to my interest in the GR collection, my searches have taken me from my decades old Marvel stomping grounds and exposed me to some really great work on the DC side.
  11. The other two Green River OAAWs......
  12. I'll post the other two tomorrow....having trouble with a dodgey isp.
  13. Three excellent examples of Kubert's mastery from the Green River Pedigree via Metropolis....
  14. Nice book Steve! (Drool graemlin inserted here).
  15. Two new Green Rivers, courtesy of Metropolis! TOS 84 and 89....both 8.5.
  16. Well, Steve....they who hesitates.....are left out in the cold...... But at least it went to a boardie!
  17. Congrats, Mon Capitan! I'd been eyeing that book on and off for a while too! Really nice, and one of my favorite DD covers. And PC to boot! I think it's one of the first DDs I bought off the newstands.
