You guys are too harsh. I'd venture to say that to most comic book enthusiasts, Stan Lee IS Marvel. Marvel would not exist without his early contributions. His influence will forever be the heartbeat of the company. So any Marvel book signed by him is fine by me. Now if he could work on his signature placements....

Or maybe it's just that time of year with the holidays sapping everyone's budgets. Don't most winter auctions prove lower? Wait for tax returns to start rolling in. If BA12 still goes lower, then we're likely seeing a correction. I think we're past the stage that it would crash. It's among the top keys of the Modern Age, and I don't see that changing. It'll probably settle into a $1400-1600 range eventually in 9.8.

Interesting thought. Could be, though that doesn't bother me in the slightest. Now to get a regular ol' blue 9.8!

I couldn't resist trying for another copy. I spent years waiting for one, and now suddenly I've won two golds within a couple weeks. But I'm with you, I was ecstatic that it ended so low. I suspected it might though, as the auction was ending late Sunday after a long NFL playoff day and during a long holiday weekend, so potential bidders may have been out partying / boozing later than they normally might on a Sunday. That's my theory anyway. In any event, yay me!

It took over 5 years for Darabont to get the Walking Dead on the air. Keep that in mind. There is news. Really good news, but nothing I'm allowed to publicly discuss--yet. Swear it. And, it's more than just Enormous.

On a similar note, finally got me one of these little 9.8 gems in the mail today as well. That only took YEARS. But yay! Had a chance a couple Baltimore Cons ago to buy a blue 9.8 for $500 and passed after much deliberation that day. Regretted it ever since. So had to get in on the bidding for this one on eBay a couple weeks ago....

Of course they will. That's a silly thing to say. They will always cater to kids and families with the majority of their titles, especially with Disney lording over them. The greater concern would be that Disney asks for these adult-oriented stories to be toned down. Jessica Jones was introduced in the MAX line of books after all.

Agreed. I think in the long term it's going to be the more valued book in 9.8 just due to the difficulty of this cover at that grade. If an Eternal Warrior movie is announced, then we'll really see it light up.

Solar 10 CGC 9.8 popped tonight on Comiclink for $938!

At the end of the episode it stated Supergirl will be changing to her regular time of 8 AM next Monday. Well, looks like they've already put it in a death time slot. No one will watch it that early in the morning.
