  1. Ah yes, that's it. Thanks for finding that. That makes more sense.
  2. Doesn't CGC reserve the right to adjust the Declared Value if they feel that it has been declared too low, particularly after the grades come in? This is both so that they can be compensated with extra fees in the appropriate tiers, and so that the insured value of the books when shipped are more in line with GPA values in the event the package goes missing or damaged. In this instance, the fees for this signing are flat fees, so the adjustment would be made for the insurance reasons only. CGC is probably being conservatively high just to be safe (and excite their customers). Not knowing what books you actually submitted.
  3. Plus, any book with a character he created or co-created. How many comics has Venom appeared in? And then the different grades further dividing the numbers. Some people are acting like the McFarlane signature market is going to crash. I just don't see it. A slight softening on some books until they're absorbed into collections, then normalizing again. Although some books like Spawn 1, 300 and 301 will see an extended down period with their high print runs.
  4. Only own TMNT 1 and Albedo 2. Both actually happen to come from the Don / Maggie Thompson Collection, so a bit of an unusual side note on my copies. Cerebus 1 has been on my want list for years, but don't think I'll ever pull the trigger on one at this point.
  5. Good PR to post pictures on social media of having the Todd-father signing in-house. Good to have confirmation though that the signing will occur THIS WEEK!
  6. He has to sign soon, like this week, according to his own sales pitch for the event. He mentioned in one of his videos or posts that 'some submitters may even receive their books back before Christmas'. Granted, he's just being a salesman saying something like that. Anyone receiving their books before Christmas seems a stretch, even if he started signing them today. I expect he'll sign before week's end though.
  7. Now, I'm rather jealous that I didn't send in my New Mutants 87!
  8. Well, learn something new! I never realized that, huh! Well, just ignore me, I clearly don't know what I'm talking about, haha.
  9. Mine was delivered on the 4th as well. They're showing up in my Submissions now as of a couple hours ago. So you should see yours any time now as well in your account. I don't think he'll sign the New Mutants 87 since he didn't have anything to do with that issue. He's signed the Amazing Spider-Man 700 issue previously, so he'll likely sign that. I bet CGC will contact you about the NM 87. Hopefully anyway. I don't know why they would bother cracking it out of the case, if they know he won't sign it.
  10. Sent the following: Coyote 11 (x3) and 13 Spawn 1 Batman 423 (2nd printing) Detective Comics 576, 577, 578 Venom 1 (Remastered Edition) Amazing Spider-Man 328 Amazing Spider-Man: Skating on Thin Ice 1 Marvel Age 90 Marvel Tales 227, 234, 235
  11. Marvel Age #91? (Do you mean #90? Or is there significance for Todd with issue 91 too?)
  12. Mailed off a box today. Now, just have to hope the post office doesn't delay the delivery. I'll breathe easier once tracking confirms it received. Among the books sent were Coyote 11 & 13, Marvel Tales 227, 234 (love this cover), 235 (love this cover more), and Venom 1 Remastered Color. I tried sending in less commonly signed books, and felt that they all have a shot at 9.8. Hopefully Todd treats them gently. And signs mine before eating some greasy pizza or burger. Though a Todd thumbprint would be rather cool. Was going to send in my Wizard 1, but decided against it. I'd rather have it open to read. Plus, the cover is a slick cardboard material, which seemed more susceptible to smearing or poor signature quality. Was also considering sending in my Return of Wolverine 1 Remastered color, but wasn't sure if Todd would sign it. I leaned toward him not signing it, so set it aside for another day. Hoping Todd decides to add an occasional surprise remark along with his sig, and that I'm a lucky recipient of such. But know that's probably asking too much of him under the weight of so many books to sign in such a tight timeframe. If I had to guess, it would likely be the final book he signs as a celebratory wrap-up of the event.
  13. Wow! That looks like a very nice copy! Congrats!
  14. Modern non-fast track press & grade: Received - 6/8 Scheduled for Grading - 10/14 Graded / Quality Control - 10/15 Shipped - 10/16 So, a little over 4 months with regular pressing & grading service on Moderns right now.
  15. Announced today that Netflix has secured the rights to Jeff Smith's Bone and will be developing an animated series. Very happy and excited for this. https://deadline.com/2019/10/bone-netflix-will-animate-jeff-smith-acclaimed-comic-book-epic-1202761594/
  16. YES!!! https://deadline.com/2019/10/bone-netflix-will-animate-jeff-smith-acclaimed-comic-book-epic-1202761594/
  17. Wait, seriously, your books were an exact same submission as mine (non-fast track Moderns pressing & grading), but yours were received by CGC a couple weeks after mine? My books were received on 6/8 and are still just showing as 'Received' status (though CCS charged me a month ago for them). Wtf. Guess I'll need to call them tomorrow.
  18. I've been indulging in Audible books. The performances can really enhance the book 'reading' experience with spot-on voices for each character and great comic timing. I would HIGHLY recommend listening to these book performances if the subject matter interests you:
