  1. This is a steaming pile of .... which the seller has without a doubt brought upon themselves through inaction and apparent disinterest (at the very least) and for this reason alone I would and will not lose sleep over them staying on the PL list. That being said I voted for removal given I'm not comfortable with the precedent of a seller being on the PL after issuing a prompt and full refund. While there are suspicious circumstances (plenty) there is no concrete evidence of egregious behaviour, if there was I think the discussion would be tending towards HOS inclusion, would it not? And just to be clear, backing out of a deal because of a better offer after the fact is what we are potentially talking about here, no? I have no easy solutions but I guess it should be left to the seller in this case to find a way off the PL if they are so inclined.
  2. Went to see this tonight so I'm here now to thank you later. Seriously, thanks for posting or I would have missed this. Great fun and a few good laughs as well! Cheers
  3. That's funny as that is how I imagine it when I write my own. Glad I'm not the only one.
  4. I love the cover of Black Panther 1 as well. Jack Kirby was a master of conveying movement and as his work matured it became more stylized (or as I like to say, really bleeping cool!!!). His panels are always moving you along, always in service to the story.
  5. Hard to imagine any show or movie being anywhere near the quality of the comic. They would need some very avant garde / brilliant directors and I just don't see that happening. Having just reread the series recently, it reaffirmed my love for the medium. Many think of comics as nothing more than story boards but that's hardly the case.
  6. Mad paperbacks and Bugs Bunny are responsible for 90% of my psychological make up. RIP Mad
  7. One of mine as well. I would happily have traded all the superhero movies I have seen (on the big screen0 to have seen this instead and I mean no offense.
  8. I'll also chime in and say that Interstellar was a great modern sci-fi movie. Well worth the 3 hour time investment. I will chime in as well and remind you(Bosco) to watch it LOUD, very very Loud. The Hans Zimmer soundtrack is very intense. Just an awesome movie imho.
  9. I managed to avoid all discussion and reviews and finally see this movie last night. It took me that long to be able to get seats that weren't in the front row. Still an almost packed house. I thought it a very good movie, seemed slowly paced with lots of time spent with the characters which is the strength of the film. Really liked Thor's arc and really like what they have done with the character from his first movie to the end of this one - glad he got to keep his belly as well. Captain Marvel was awesome! Hawkeye and the Black Widow very well done. Nebula was fantastic! Not much to nitpick at really other than wanting more of Captain Marvel or Dr Strange's stories but it's all good. Iron man and Thanos - wow. As a long time Captain America fan I was pleasantly surprised by his ending. It made the whole movie for me.
  10. Not true. I have done very well selling here and when I started I couldn't grade worth squat. I am better now but still rely on help to establish grades. Customer service and reasonable pricing go a long way, especially 'round here. I certainly didn't mean you, your one of the good ones
  11. Not to sound crass but if you can’t estimate a grade for a book then you need to move on to other selling venues.
  12. In all fairness my minimum bid was always my reserve on anything that mattered to me, but if I sell a $100 item for $1 that's on me not the sniper.
  13. It's been a while for me since I've sold anything on ebay but I have sold some (for me at least) big items in the past and I have welcomed every single snipe because they have made me some decent money on a lot of items.
  14. That’s pretty much been my experience aswell. I have found that uploading all the pictures to a post first and then start editing them for size works best. Now that I’ve gotten used to it I can’t imagine using photobucket again. I feel liberated.
  15. Captain Marvel kicked butt and continues to kick it. I can see her playing a very prominent role in endgame.
  16. Glad that I finally had a chance to see this while it was still on the big screen. This movie kicked butt! Awesome! Well paced, well acted and a satisfying ending. As someone who thought Captain Marvel was a cool series long before these movies came into being I was happy to see this result. Not so much the financial success which is cool but the depiction of the character. I keep saying I’m tired of superhero movies and I am, but shucks, they keep dragging me back.
  17. This. I personally see no reason to split a thread, no matter the difference in price, raw vs slabbed etc. The ability to edit your thread title can alert buyers to new books at any time within your current sales thread. If a book absolutely has to have it's own thread then close down your current one and open a new one.
  18. It wouldn't bother me at all. In fact, now that you say it it makes sense. Curious to see how it will play out.
  19. After the butthurt that is TLJ, I was a little reluctant to click on this, but hell. This looks awesome! I get the impression I can just pretend the last movie never happened, that would be awesome as well. I think Rey is a great character (regardless of her being a skywalker or not) and I hope we she her reach her potential here. JJ is the consummate entertainer but he is derivative, I hope he breaks some new ground here as well. I'm in.
  20. Me as well! I don't think the VCC was ever about bringing over your ebay store or attracting the big sellers - whom one can visit at any time away from the boards. More about people bringing their odds and ends before listing elsewhere or simply because this is where they like to sell. Generally a small time community event and I would argue the exclusivity as part of the charm. In this age of most things being for sale most of the time at one venue or another the VCC is hardly required as a billboard along the way. The advertising forums are here already for that purpose. Buzzetta makes a good argument in his post, I just think the proposed change would change the nature of the event from a small to a large event.
  21. From a selling standpoint I personally feel that exclusivity is little to ask for the short time items are generally for sale here. From a buying standpoint it would not be nearly as inviting to check out vendors who are selling elsewhere.
