Marvel's first family is too exclusive. Not everyone is "fantastic". Time for change. Maybe the Equitable Four?
After a few iterations all superhero team names will be reduced to a grunt.

I’m kinda warming up to the X-Folks

Dr Strange, other than his brief introduction, has been nothing more than a means to an end in the MCU. A sad state for what is imho, one of comics more sophisticated and nuanced characters. Unfortunately, he is hardly the only one.

I counted Hunger Games the Prequel as zero competition, and The Marvel’s premiere the week after Dune 2 actually spells trouble for that one. That is not a juggernaut sandwich. The Marvels, 2023’s final MCU film, will be the juggernaut of that trio.
Kids are practically back in school the first week of August anyway, so that doesn’t matter, just as it didn’t matter to Black Panther or Captain Marvel 1, who both premiered out of summer.
It’s pretty easy to spin The Marvels’ move to Veterans Day weekend. It’s a better spot for a MCU movie and gives the Studio more time to make the film better after a growing narrative that MCU films need to be better.
I don’t see the Dune crowd and the Marvels crowd mixing.

The novelty is long gone and my nostalgia long spent. These stories simply work better for me on newsprint and in most cases, only work on newsprint. But I'm an old man with a penchant for grumpiness.

I like Adam Driver and Marvel would be lucky to have him but for his own benefit, he should get as far away from the MCU as possible.

It has been a historic problem for DC and Marvel movies and TV shows. But especially when it comes to Marvel/Disney and how it compensates and recognizes creators.
Even key industry creators have been calling it out for some time like Neil Gaiman. But unfortunately it has been a slow burning fuse to address their concerns.
Sadly, I would not be surprised if most Marvel movie goers unfamiliar with the source material think one person is responsible for everything. Not meant as an insult to the said person, merely that it is an insult to the many talented writers and artists who have given us so much.

FF/BP take on Namor, Avengers (whatever that will mean) taking on Kang. With the multi-verse there is no reason everything has to fit into the same set of movies.
Grumpy old man moment…
SpoilerI would argue that with a multi-verse, there’s little point making any movies.

On a comic page, disagree.
Live action, agree but I kind of feel like most superheroes don’t translate well.

Teach the owner of the comics how to grade, maybe charge him 1000 bucks and spend a few days with him and then leave them to him.

I think of NFTs as an evolutionary benchmark in which the universal record keeper scratches any civilization who creates them off the ‘intelligent’ list.

I thought Jackson did a decent job with LoTR - the Hobbit focused parts in the book were always my least favourite.
I think Jackson did a good job making a trilogy that paid it’s debts and went on to turn a profit. The more divorced from the source material one is, the better the movies seem. They have not aged well with me, especially the gutting of Gandalfs character to the point of utter ridiculousness. It’s a shame because it didn’t have to be that way.
That said, the death of Borimir is a remarkable and beautiful scene ( The Fellowship is by far the best adaptation Imho) as is the scene with Eyowin, Merry and the Witchking.
Another thing that saves Jacksons loth trilogy is the cast.
I can’t even talk about the Hobbit.

"grumble grumble grumble Jonathan Kent..."
Meanwhile, it is one of THE BEST comic book movies ever based on story, casting, intensity, cinematography and incredible soundtrack
You know, I was thinking about that, and maybe Johnathan Kents sacrifice is part of what informs Kals decision to end Zod. In that moment he sees in humans self sacrifice which he doesn’t see in Zod. Certainly, it’s more subtle and complicated but he makes a human decision just as Johnathan did.

I think that Endgame Thanos displayed how down-and-dirty he can be. Infinity War made him more complex and emotionally deep than Zod, which makes for a great character story, but not necessarily a great target for your heroes to defeat (because his mission is seemingly-altruistic).
The calmness that Thanos displays in times of stress can be equally intimidating as Zod with his outbursts. I take no issue with you saying he's #1, though. I'm just not so certain of that, despite MoS being my favorite CBM right now.
Thanos is certainly well acted but he doesn’t own the screen the way Shannon does (few do I imagine). You only have to compare their deaths to see the difference. We still talk about Zod’s but who cares about Thanos’ demise. I’m sure it’s my own bias/taste but the MCU has no teeth. If Marvel had the guts to end at Infinity war and let Thanos win, drop the mic and end the MCU there, then we would have something really unique.
You’re right, Thanos is well written but I just don’t care nearly as much.
MoS as best? I’d give it a close second behind Logan.

I struggle to think of many CBM villains who were as well-written and well-performed as Shannon's Zod. Ledger's Joker, and Thanos, are the only 2 that quickly come to mind.
Shannon sits alone at the apex here imho. Thanos is a cartoon in comparison.
