  2. You can live with me if you bring all your stuff and I can pretend it is mine!
  3. Oh great tip! Just checked it out. Definitely makes sense. Thanks. No worries! It is really useful to have, and for free there is no reason not to get one. In the box from the CGC form pictured below just fill out the bottom section about the self-insured FedEx account and FedEx will ship the books and bill your credit card. I like the fact that I know exactly what it costs to ship, rather than paying CGC (or anyone else, for that matter) a flat rate to ship. Piece of cake! Have you found much savings in what you pay directly to Fedex, and what CGC Charges? The savings are quite substantial. 17 books worth 2K shipped back to me by CGC registered mail would be $69. Fedex ground (Make CERTAIN you specify GROUND) was $17. You don't have do this very many times before you have paid the premium on your private insurance. Plus you have the insurance against fire, theft, etc on your collection or inventory. If you search the web, you can also find a couple of places that sell one time insurance on a particular shipment. Timing is everything. You have to purchase the insurance within a day or two of the package being shipped. Or you can cross your fingers and do without insurance. FedEx's loss rate is very low, which is why the private insurance is inexpensive. I won't do that, but it is an option. I'll explore the rates with a Fedex account. The shipping rates for stuff coming back to Canada at CGC's cost are... I wouldn't recommend Fedex as they will likely ding you for customs/brokerage/fedexfee/made you up fee etc. USPS was always my friend till I had em shipped to a US address.
  4. I do owe a ton to ppls it still hasn't got to me but shipped all the books and most have got them so will send them some in the mail. However some individual bought some raw books. He wanted some...I went and found them, sent him pricing he said told me take 2 days for funds to clear. Well after some nice reminders of hey I can ship to you tomorrow going over to the US he reads and does nothing. Next week we repeat hey going to be able to ship out your books if you pay for them. Reads and doesn't respond. Wanna bet what happened the third time I said hey if you send payment I can ship the books?
  5. Well it was a good episode until the last 2 mins...what a joke of a cliff hanger How long till Carl nooses someone up?
  6. I sense a nomination coming in my very near future.
  7. I couldn't remember what oceanavekid was in the hot seat for, but ya, that's pretty outside the spirit of PIF. Rather self-serving, that. Well in his defense, he did wait until the day after receiving them to list them on EBAY. I am sure he read all 97 comics and was passing them on. This is so typical of many of the new people that have joined in the last couple of years. They take no interest in making friends, are confrontational, suck the place dry and spend the majority of their time in the sales threads. There are some awesome people among the new boardies too. Unfortunately, they are outnumbered. Can't stand that Wickdipper...all he does is post helpful hints pisses me off cause we can't ridicule the others when they mess up.

  10. You'd be wrong then, as OCD CDO-people like Rockhead bother me at an intrinsic level, and I can say without reservation, he is the *only* person on here that really true bothers me. There is something "not right" about him, and I apologize if I'm not being polite, but there it is. Had to put it in alphabetical order for you
  11. What does 'good standing with the Mods' mean? If he doesn't watch it, Jeffro will log into his other account and teach him how to kneel. RAGEFRO! If only I were a mod. I'd clear this place out in short order The mods are currently reviewing my application. I should know within 4-6 weeks. Why didn't you pay to fast track it?
  12. My economy FT from the same day is sitting verified as well. I guess they missed the 20 days turnaround.. My econ from 1 week ago took 28 business days and a prod to cgc.
