  1. Come on now, talk about the number of pre-sales, exclusives, "coming back" from cgc sales etc all of that falls under the same as this. Lets continue to find another thread which has much worse interest then putting a price for a scarce GA book that ppls want and has a verified sale in lower grade to justify his pricing. The difference is that with all of those books it is stated up front that they are not in hand. Not always.

  3. No. I think we're asking for the following (among other things, but staying on point...): if one chooses to provide market data that is allegedly representative of the comic's value, don't cherry pick...provide all the representative data of which one is aware (which would certainly include the value paid in an auction the day before). Otherwise, just shut up and list the asking price. Exactly I am not disagreeing just saying that anyone that knows anything (which is most of us on here) about GPA is that it is very selective. Should we exclude data because a book (we watched) was over graded and had poor eye appeal sell for 20% below FMV or should we say hey this book was just sold by Dealer X with a great rep so know its a legit sale for 40% above FMV. It wasn't a direct quote saying GPA average is ABC it was simply stating I think my price is fair for the sale on this book back in may. The thread krapping isn't cool regardless of if you watched it sell for below his asking price last night.
  4. So are we asking all dealers to state what they paid for the book when they go to sell it.
  5. Do you see Josh Mc niels as a Gator coach? http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000437732/article/report-josh-mcdaniels-getting-vetted-by-florida
  6. Verified: 11/26/2014 That's not promising nope, and I have 17 books dropped off at NYCC that haven't hit verified. Possibly February? Eww. I have a few MST Pre-screen (received Nov 3). I figured 70 business days which would be right around Feb 14.
  7. Depends who's side you are looking at: Does BF count as a business day for my books to get done? - Sorry we wanted to let our guys have a break Management - No you can't have BF off we have too many books to grade and are way to far behind, not to mention our posted updated TATs are even longer than they what it actually takes to get them out the door.
  8. It should be yanked from the current auction and put up in a future one. With an issue of going from fine to ng.
  9. I would love to see greggy's comic room (house)
  10. I saw the book and wouldn't buy it.
  11. , I thought I was the only one that didn't like his 80% off tactics So what he is saying is, he caused all this trouble and now seller wants to cancel deal due to his insufficient funds that they're going to be nominated? Lets see what the votes will be on this matter. I think him and Adonis should have a deal see where that ends up.
  12. My last moderns took 3 months 2 weeks. I would say any day now yours will be going out. Anything good Batman Adventures 12 is the best book. I submitted my first batch ever - 60 9.8 pre screen. A lot of Valiant variants and gold books, along with some early Valiant keys. A few other books. I have a couple boxed of 9.8 candidates that I'd love to send in, but need to know I'm doing it right. If you did pre-screen you can know which passed already. You are likely looking at another couple of weeks as pre-screen adds more time. If you log into your account look for the column "category" anything that says MODERN has passed the 9.8 pre-screen. If you aren't sure shoot me a pm.

  14. The entire domestic abuse is HUGE right now. Look at the NFL and NHL and how the quick decisions and intense moves quickly lead to controversy.
  15. Nice. I had to file a charge back for my NYCC Variants. They didn't have any so said they would ship them to me. After emails and no answer for over a month.
  16. Almost par for what an AF15 in grade goes for I'm sure a large reason for the price would be that the book looks nicer than a 6.0 Yes yes it does.
  17. Can't prescreen SS books. MOST sellers over submit to ensure they cover everyone. Ahh, that makes sense. I would imagine pre selling 10 9.8's and only submitting 10 books would be playing with fire. For this book or similar con books absolutely. For an off the rack book like Random Book #123 Dre likely only subs as many as he has subscribers as getting caught having an extra 9.8 of Random Book#123 in 9.8 is likely break even with costs I just noticed the Arrow gif in your sigline, is that from season 3? I'm almost done with season 2, have the new episodes all dvr'd. I'd hate to think I somehow missed them working the boxing glove arrow into an episode. I won't spoil it for you.
  18. Yep, Toast is awesome. On a general note, I find the asymmetry that permeates these sorts of situations interesting...buyers want refunds if grade is slightly lower than seller's estimate, but never pay the seller more if grade comes back higher than seller's estimate. If a seller says hey its a 9.8 and doesn't come back a 9.8 then they should be refunded. If the buyer gets a gift from cgc well that's great. Dre does 9.8 subbing all the time. If a book comes back 9.9 you pay for it. Is that what happened here not sure. HOWEVER if you want to put a number on it and can't stand behind it then you should refund. I like the way Dre does things with the policy on higher grades. But I would have no problem with a seller who said if it comes back 9.9 you have first refusal on it as long as you pay X% more. As long as they were up front, people could make their decision whether or not to buy. I'm sure many wouldn't, but I don't think having that as a policy would be shady at all. Yep...I guess I was saying that I find it interesting that more sellers don't put this symmetry into their policy odds of a 9.9 are like flipping a coin 100 times and its heads each and every time. just extra wording that doesn't need to be included. such as things like I won't take counterfeit or monopoly money as payment. I won't ship to an unnamed address in the middle of Nigeria to the prince. I hear you...I was also thinking more generally...not just moderns...like a "9.0" coming back 8.5 Vs. 9.2, Etc....getting off topic, though Some sellers will. I didn't reach an agreement with one seller but it was basically I am charging you more than the going rate for the book because I believe it is under graded. You can buy it as is or I will have it sent to cgc and you will pay X for Y grade and Z for A grade. etc

  20. Many of the questions raised in this thread were addressed in the original query. Short answer: No. The qualifiers being that general perception here is that it's 9.8's or bust w/modern presales & the sales forum guideline require a grade/scan. So if the buyer admits to assuming the grade - how does everyone feel about his Paypal action? If he's refused the return/refund route I don't agree with the attempt to seek a refund through Paypal arbitration and keep the book. Agreed can't keep the book AND the refund. It sounds like another reason not to deal with someone. and a learning experience for the buyer to buy from someone who knows what they are doing.
