  1. Hot Take: a splash page IS an interior page!
  2. I remember that show well and tried to convince Paul that they shouldn't be in the discounted portfolio. Someone got a steal of a deal.
  3. I love Paul's art and have a significant amount of it. As good as he is as an artist, he's a better person and a dear friend.
  4. No lose situation IMO What is more important to you? The enjoyment or financial gain? If it's enjoyment, do what your heart is telling you (sounds like art to me). If it is financial gain, sounds like holding the cards for a while is the way to go. If so, don't sell off blue chip cards if you aren't turning that into blue chip art. This is coming from a collector who tends to keep things, which reminds me that I need to check my sports cards collection again. Good luck with whatever you decide
  5. I think there are a few on eBay right now IIRC, there are some listed deeper in this section as well
  6. Welcome to the dissent into madness comic art collecting! Be sure to start a CAF gallery and post your Batman piece!

  8. Happy to add this page which is part of a sequence I already own a few pages from (these pages are also on my CAF gallery) https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1694695
  9. Agreed. I see goals as more of a guideline and not a strict template to follow. We all have goals, not everyone makes a list.
  10. A big thanks to Bill Cox - thanks so much for all you do for the hobby, especially the new videos. They are absolute must-watch for me (even if I almost always have to miss live and watch later). This hobby would not be what it is without your tireless efforts. A huge shout out of thanks to all the JadeGiant Comic Art customers - you guys and gals are the best and I thoroughly enjoy each transaction and the interactions with all of you. Looking forward for a great 2021. And finally, a big round of thanks for all of my fellow hobbyists that fill my days with great conversations about this passion we all share. I meet new people in the hobby each year (month/week/day) and love the camaraderie that is built. 2020 sucked in many ways and I am having serious con-withdrawal but, that said, I have made a lot of new contacts this year and look forward to what 2021 brings.
  11. PUBLISHED Savage Hulk vs Xmen by Alan Davis and Mark Farmer https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1618534
  12. UNPUBLISHED Jimmy Cheung Hulk https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1668813
  13. I have another very specific Hulk themed collection of Bob Larkin Hulk poster homages: https://www.comicartfans.com/galleryroom.asp?gsub=132359 My buddy TC has a great themed collection of Sal Buscema Hulk corner box homages: https://www.comicartfans.com/galleryroom.asp?gsub=192579 Great idea Alex - this will be fun to review
  14. Overall: Have fun. Be ready to buy when the right page comes along so that I don't regret missing on something I know I won't get another shot at (or unlikely to get another shot at). Be patient and don't buy stuff that doesn't speak to me just to get an art fix (we all do it or have done it). Start to sell and or trade more. Targets: 1. Hulk 227 page(s) 2. Hulk art (commissions and/or pages but more published) from my favorite artists: Sal Buscema, Dale Keown, Ed McGuinness, and Paul Pelletier 3. Kirby - anything that I like and is priced right 4. Twice-up Marvel with the Hulk 5. Hostess ad (Really want a Hulk but others are desired as well). 6. Fill some collection holes but only if they are the right piece (don't buy just to fill a hole if I don't love it) - artists like Art Adams, John Byrne, Marie Severin, and more 6. Anything from favorite artists and comic runs that I actively seek
  15. Looks like Jim Lee is finishing off the list. 2 more up on eBay now - Black Adam and John Stewart GL
