You win some, you lose some. I thought I'd get the usual $500+/- on that issue. I was very surprised to see the final price this morning. I wouldn't be surprised to see one listed in a week or two that goes for $500 Now I'm very curious how my other auctions will do, that are ending soon The old $0.99 starting auction may have backfired for me this time

The .99 start works great with hot books... Just like you said.. But don't do that with warm or cold... You might just get the .99 only. (Speaking from experience. ) Very true (thumbs u Regular WD books seem to work out pretty good, the over printed variants, not so much. If I feel that it will not go over well, I just start the price at the minimum I'd like to get and keep my fingers crossed

I see this often in my auctions I find the $0.99 start on WD slabs gets more people interested. Then people get caught up in the moment and bid more than they probably should. I think it's the feeling of, hey I might get this for a cheap price, then the last second bidding gets them going. Then again, most people just don't know what the going price is on some books, and they bid what they think it's worth. Usually an amount much higher than the it is

I'm getting soooo close to completing that set Just need a handful of books to have 100% completion Nice!!! I remember when I started buying them slabbed and grading raw issues when they came out. So many people hated that release While I understand the stance at the time, I enjoy the fact that most of the books have not been graded or only have 1 to 2 copies slabbed. Plus, there's the low print run on that set

Indeed. The first 9.9 I bought for my WD collection was the #1. It was all over after that. From there, my only goal was to own the highest graded copy of every issue out there. I wanted to have the highest graded set in existence James appears well on his way to doing just that

I just finished a sales thread for some extra issues I finally received from CGC, which went over very well, for which I'm very grateful. I will probably have a crazy 9.9 sales thread up soon. Think I have around 10 or so left 9.9's ? I still have my #1 and the #27 SS...for now I think I'll aim to get that thread up Friday, if I don't end up working all weekend you can take the weekend off if you hurry up and sell you 9.9 # 1 Good point, are you ready for it

Due to a series of events, out of my control, I've had no choice but to part with my set It's been a very difficult decision to make, but it had to be done. I still have my top rated Weekly set, and I'm dead set on completing that collection in the future. Then, once everything is right and in place, I will return to rebuilding my WD variant set. Down, but not out

The thing that kills me is that they sent me a friendly message along with the transfer requests Send me you cgc 10.0.....I will protect them with my life. At least until the smoke clears.
