Ah!  I misread the third one, it being two slabs.  No, if someone breaks out a graded 8.5 and sells it as a raw 9.4 then it's absolutely not an actual crime.

Except for the 8.5 to a 9.4 example.  I'd say that was fraud and a crime...the rest, nope.

Well now that we have soe sort of mission, maybe us motivated peeps can dig some up.  Like I said, I have a few comic shops with deep bins that I wil go through agan and see if I can flush any of these out!

Interesting!  I have a few LCS' scatterd throughout eastern Canada that have a good selection of CPVs hidden in bins. I'll start paying attention and see if I can dig some of these up.

What are the books you're looking for still?  And do you mean inexistant generally or in higher grade?  I think this would be a great discussion here

So what do we think the CPV market is gonna do this year?  Prediction are only the super-high grade books will sell well.  No love for lower grade ones for real?  I still wouldn't mind trying to get a full set of MArvel and DC at any grade (and for cheap!) just as a task.  Plus I have the most expensive ones already anyway

Hello!  I’ve decided to start selling off some books and this is the first to go. Usual board sales disclaimers apply, an “I’ll Take It” in the thread trumps PM discussions, book can be paid in many different ways depending on the buyer, TBD.

Captain Marvel Adventures 18, first appear and Mary Marvel and The Marvel Family. Just graded last week, fresh from CGC. Asking $3500 USD shipped anywhere ***NOW $2950 SHIPPED*** Willing to entertain serious offers of course!

If this movie is used to take out the TVA, I'm down.  Actually, I'm down no matter what.  This will probably be the only movie I see in the theatre this decade

There does seem to be an active market for first prints. good luck with them.

I got a notice the boxes should arrive today and tomorrow. They broke the shipment into three boxes.

Seen to be 1st prints after all (I think). I have 1-4 and have more copies somewhere, I’m sure!

Interesting...well I'll be curous to see.  I was a huge Pokemon fan and had preordered these as soon as they were annoinced.  I'll post back for information's sake!

BvS is still the best Batman movie made, period.  Unpopular opinion, I know

I didn't even know those Pokemon books in first pring were worth anything.  I have 2 or 3 copies of each that I bought new when they came out...will be all first prints and they're uber high grade.

Now THIS would be a bad PR move.  CGC should offer a replacement physical book of the cash equivalent at the moment of the agreement.  Maybe throw in a free submission or two as well as a goodwill gesture.

As all these books are readily available, I think CGC should simply replace any affected books someone has with a true copy in grade regardless of current market value.  FMV at the moment might be higher or lower that what the person paid for the book...nobody's problem except CGC.

I'm looking forward to scouring the bins at all the LCS again in 2024 to see what CPVs get shaken out......
