I was forced to take French in school. I rebelled by retaining none of it.
I'm a total Euro/English Quebecer, and am fluently bilingualwritten/spoken. I wanna go do those videos and go into s French restaurant and pretend I don't speak the language and see what they say ;)

So for whoever is watching The Last of Us, the big death evacuation happened Sept. 26, 2003...my join date. I laughed out loud last night watching it ;)

Those color ones are cool, though the real first appearances were in the floppies! Incroyable Hulk 39 and 41 had identical covers as the regular Marvel issues, 181 had this dumb cover (this is a copy I sold last year, I have one copy left!):

Yeah, CPVs are actually quite common, just not in uber high grade anymore. Those collections have been picked fairly clean. In the 00s it was easy to find 9.4+ CPVs even at your LCSs.
Well at least searching them out gives me something to do at cons now. I used to hunt down the Quebec French Editions Héritageof all the key books and now dealers are asking insane amounts for them. The equalent ASM 129 on sale at $250, IH 180 at $400...there were a number of high prices for them. I have a bunch I found a decade ago...might be time to start selling ;)

I'm thinking about selling a number of keys and semi-keys in the next prime auction...when do I have to start preparing to get them down there to you guys?

I might see this in theaters because of Levi.
I always loved him in all the things he's done. I've watched the whole Chuck series 3 or 4 times, and am watching the whole thing now with son over the winter (we're halfway through season two). He was good in Heroes Reborn, and was great as Shazam. Now I'm liking him more and more ;)

Displaying the give-away prices you paid for the books only makes it worse for the rest of us.
Oh, and the Tales of GL Corps Annual 2 I got for 50% off and a friends' discount on top...so I paid $20 for it. Also got a little bulk deal on the rest of the books from an aquaintance as well ;)

Sorry...? ;)
I left a TON of mid and lower grade books behind. Shows that CPVs exist absolutely in general quantity. In grade, that's another thing.

Hit the Montreal mini Comiccon this morning to do some bin diving. Seeing as I'm smack dab in the middle of CPV territory, I searched well and found a nice group of high grade CPVs. All grade above 9.2 and could all climb quite a bit higher. And just maybe I'll go after a CPV run of higher grade DC Comics Presents since I'm halfway there already.

And as someone who once owned - and read - X-Men 94-304, virtually the only ones I care about are 94-143.
It's been discussed here before, and I'd say 94-175. 176 is well noted as the beginning of the downfall.

9.2-9.4 Nice book though!

Great episode...first show in a while I'll make the time to continue watching.
Was wondering, for the peeps who played the video game, were the blind zombies in the building a cool/important thing taken from the game? Was that something game fans would have been waiting to see?

Watched the first eposode on a whim, and quite enjoyed it (and I know zero about the game). Definitely a bit of a WD feel, though I'll keep watching, that's for sure!

I was at 1.8 if you're lucky, even chances on a 1.5 though.

Episodes 5, 6, and 7, IIRC. They were definitely Mando-focused.
Yep. And Boba Fett was a massively wasted property with that series...

Only if you cook it correctly, baked in garlic-butter at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.
I prefer duck fat and rock salt, though YMMV.

I've been keeping tabs on the MCS auctions for a number of months, and the January Prime auction that just ended had pretty strong prices. All the stuff I was watching (and I have and plan on selling soon...all raw keys and semi keys of various grades) ended with great sales, so it doesn't seem the dip at the high grade level is affecting us bottom feeders.

I'll never forget this pinnacle of writing from FF7:
The series has been a train-wreck since Tokyo Drift, but was still somewhat watchable thru the 6th one.
Agreed. I can watch the first one most easily if I have to, though.

The last F&F movie was completely unwatchable...turned it off after 20 mins. I wonder if these last two will have any redeeming qualities.

I enjoyed the episode as well. After the two first met and he was welcomed into the house, I was trying to figure out whether they were going to make out of if Bill was gonna have his head smashed in by surprise while he was playing piano.
