  1. One of my top 5 favorite comics of all time, I love that cover.
  2. Care to elaborate on the "slippery path of pre-code horror.? It's addictive. That's exactly it, I figured if I kept the CSS #22, I'd have to get Tomb of Terror #15, Horrific #3, Chamber of Chills #19, Weird Mysteries #5, and so on and so on. I had to stay focused and stick to "superhero" books.
  3. I bought a copy earlier this year, but sold it within a week because I didn't want to fall down the slippery path of pre-code horror.
  4. You can't talk reason into anybody on this topic that has the WD #1 in their avatar.
  5. When you are ready to sell, I will happily buy. Well done sir. Looks like he just sold it: CSS #22 on ComicLink
  6. I still remember the good old days of 2010-2011 when this was THE book to have when it came to Silver-Age DC. Buying a OW 1.0 copy in 2011 is actually what got me back into comics, so this club holds a special place in my heart.
  7. I traded my Walking Dead #1 CGC 9.8 black label last year for a coverless Action Comics #10 and I haven't regretted it for a single second, even in the face of Walking Dead #1 almost doubling in price during that amount of time.
  8. Gator, do you think the upcoming "Man of Steel" film will any substantial impact on the early Superman-cover Actions? I'm wondering because it seems the pre-Robin TECS really kicked into gear with release of the Nolan Batman trilogy.
  9. preferably ones that fit! I have Nike and reebok ... There is no right shoe , just whatever one personally prefers Jordan 3s and 11s for me I see your 3's and 11's and add in some 5's and 8's. (thumbs u
  10. Well that makes sense when you mention it, I just remember when I was collecting in my younger days in the 90's it seemed like #33 was the book to have after #27.
  11. I'd probably pay that for a cover too, since that's really the main selling point of that specific issue. I'm really surprised though how #33 is dropping off the radar now with all the attention on #29's, #31's, and #35's.
  12. I bid on that, but I still think $1,200 was too much to pay for that in the condition it was in.
  13. Hulk #1 gets my vote, although I am currently looking for FF#1
  14. I hit up Kevin out of the blue to inquire about buying a book that I knew he owned, and to my surprise he took me up on my offer! I know he rarely sells anything, so that makes me feel even happier I was able to get the book. He shipped comic in question from the UK to US with super sturdy packaging, and it got to me quicker than even some books I've bought from the same state I live in! I'd definitely deal with Kevin in the future, buying or selling, and I'd totally recommend everyone else doing the same, he's just an all around great collector to talk to. (thumbs u
  15. Captain America Comics #1 German reprint CGC 9.6 S/S Joe Simon I've had this for a while, I sent it in through a mail-in submission near the end of 2011 before he passed away, and I just got a good scan of it today. I always thought it was ironic that there was a German edition issued when the Germans were the main bad guys in it.
  16. I made an offer on a coverless Marvel Silver-Age key that James had listed on eBay and he accepted, making me very happy. His packaging is bomb-proof and he's a genuinely good guy to talk to. I wouldn't hesitate to buy, sell, or trade with him in the future. (thumbs u
  17. I like Batman more, but given the choice I too would pick Action #1.
  18. I was thinking the same thing. I have Cap 6 on my "find" list for when I dig through long boxes, but every time I find one, I'm not sure it is the right one as the prices on eBay are rather bleak compared to other "hot" movie books. To be sure I'm not onto the wrong issue, these are the ones in question, right: Variant: http://www.ebay.com/itm/CAPTAIN-AMERICA-6-1ST-WINTER-SOLDIER-CGC-9-8-SS-Signed-Stan-Lee-1ST-PRINT-/271121263829?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item3f20162cd5 Orig: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Captain-America-6-strict-NM-NM-9-2-Out-of-Time-Part-6-tons-more-Kermitspad-/360534183696?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item53f1830f10 Those are the right ones, although the version with Bucky/Winter Soldier on the cover is the variant edition. Cap #14 still sells a bit higher than these issues based on the cover, but I expect #6 to pass it. Also, just looking at GPA, I see the last sale for a 9.8 Variant #6 was for $150.00, so it's moving upward.
  19. This was a one-shot tied into the movie universe, his official introduction into the Marvel 616 comic universe was Battle Scars #1, although he wasn't revealed to be Agent Coulson until Battle Scars #6. Marvel Comics Make Agent Coulson Part Of The 616
