  1. Nah it's a third print, I have to save some more change to work up to a first print.
  2. I got my #1 third print in today and finally found out what odd size dimensions these things are. Is there any certain bag/board size that fits these the best if you want to store them raw?
  3. My two fast tracked copies FINALLY shipped today after 25 business days, but I guess I can't be mad at the results, both were 9.8!
  4. Business day 26 by my count and I was advised today that it should be about another week before my 10/23 (graded 11/6) FAST-FREAKING-TRACK Moderns might ship. BUY ANOTHER ENCAPSULATION MACHINE AND TRAIN SOMEONE TO USE IT! I'm in the same boat, still waiting on a 10/24 FT order. Man, I can't wait til a viable competitor to CGC opens for business...
  5. I picked this copy up to hold me over until I can get a first print. I hadn't ever caught the TMNT #1 bug for some reason until the last few weeks or so:
  6. I'd like to pick up a #1 but it looks like the third printing is the one in my price range until after Christmas. How often do slabbed 9.8 third printings come up for sale? Are they hard to find?
  7. I don't think the fire ever started, I haven't see one sell over $30 since this thread started, let alone the $150 speculator prices some sellers are asking.
  8. It was very close during the height of Jersey Shores ridiculous popularity two years ago. Walking Dead - 4.8 million vs Jersey Shore 4.6 million in the 18 - 49 demographic. http://www.forbes.com/sites/dorothypomerantz/2011/10/20/how-the-walking-dead-is-like-jersey-shore/
  9. It is not going to devalue by 50-60%. Ten years from now I think #1 in CGC 9.8 is still easily a $1K to 1100 book. WD #1 is still the AF 15 of the modern age or the TNMT #1 of this generation. 10 years from now CGC will most likely be long gone. If you think because they will have a competitor than I would say you are incorrect. I'd say because TAT's are going to get up to a year or more at this pace, for Fast Track.
  10. My Modern FT order is still sitting at "graded" coming up on 3 weeks now. Invoice was was received 10/24.
  11. Prices have already come down... -slym I hear the faint sound of "butthertz" brewing from some WD lovers...
  12. Yeah they are, I bought an unopened copy last week for $20.
  13. Any more info on this? I'm curious to see how this pans out.
  14. Two new members this week in the best club on the boards.
  15. It seems like to me that Random House response still wasn't definitive as to when it was actually released since the copyright date and sales date are so wide apart, so the jury's still out I guess. Maybe someone should try to ask Bruce Timm.
  16. Great book! Does this mean Illustrious is out of the club? Nope, I still have a copy.
  17. I've had a Modern FT sitting at "Graded" for almost a week now, if they're this swamped maybe they should consider hiring and training some more employees ASAP.
  18. I had a easy and pleasant transaction Jason on a high dollar book (Hulk #1). He paid time payments per the agreement and actually made the last payment well before it was due. I wouldn't hesitate to buy or sell with him in the future, he's an all-around great boardie.
