  1. And boom goes Marvel Premiere #47....
  2. New crop of Sheriffs in town? Seems like a bunch of noobs are "deputizing" themselves and taking the "law" into their own hands.
  3. Does a boardie own the Billy Wright copy?
  4. Who's Stan lee He's the John Oates to Jack Kirby's Daryl Hall.
  5. i ain't gino, nor am i travis Well I am Travis, and here's my Jack Kirby-signed raw copy: Needless to say, it will be getting a press to help that nasty spine roll.
  6. The previous owner who slabbed it was pretty adament that the first wrap was really the only affected area. I've only ever owned it in the slab so I couldn't personally look it over myself. Here's the pic again of it in it's raw state:
  7. You guys are definitely starting to change my mind on it. I've had the repro cover for a over a year now ready to go, but I was waiting to send the book in for the resto and attachment until I got some books back that were already in the process of being worked on.
  8. I've definitely debated it, but I feel like it needs conservation since it's such a historical book. I'm not concerned about any loss of resale value as a PLOD, this is never leaving my collection as far as I can see.
  9. Thank you, it is a good example of a coverless comic having a strong enough splash page to think twice about covering with a repro cover. The only brittle part it seems is the first wrap, hence why it has completely split.
  10. I'd rather have a Action 7/10/13 over a Supes #1 anyday, I just can't get over Supes #1 being just reprints of Action 1-4 and the cover is a reprint of the Action #10 splash art. After TEC #27, I would want a Bat #1 over any other the pre-Robin TECS based on it being the first Joker, since he really is one of the most important DC characters.
  11. I finally got some decent scans of this, I'm going to have the pages washed and casted, and the reproduction cover Fedoraman made me will be attached:
  12. Don't you find it weird that when speculators are challenged on here, that they all revert to a childish "okay, then I'll pay cover price for all your copies"? I've noticed this myself.
  13. That's my thoughts on this as well. I sold my black label #1 9.8 last year and bought a low grade Action #10 with the money, smartest comic move I ever made.
  14. Got my HP 8250 in today, works great and only cost me $70 shipped on eBay.
  15. Now the word is Dwayne Johnson could be playing John Stewart/Green Lantern: Will Dwayne Johnson Play Green Lantern John Stewart?
  16. If Denzel is confirmed for the part of John Stewart, I can only imagine the speculation hurricane that will engulf Green Lantern #87.
  17. My All Select #1 has the same thing going on, I believe that's common to some Timely's.
  18. yup, it's a good price for this book, I don't think we'll see one selling for less than that again. In 10 years we'll see it well above that as long as the population doesn't grow by many more. At that point it'll be a 40 year old book! Once all the 9.8's have been bought (from those who are submitting them) and stashed away in private collections we'll see the demand go up. There's definitely more of a market for the lower grades at this time and even those will have nowhere to go but up. I agree. That's why I had to grab it when the original buyer wanted it shipped to Canada using some weird description. However, for the right price I would let it go. I'm not pushing a sales thread, but some people may love this more than I do. . Wow!
