  2. agree, the auction process for CC seems endless..they should really revise to match closer to Ha's but there is some great stuff left for Sat
  3. Cong...you really did Mannup...."hail to the king"
  4. They are both great books, the announcement today that Ben is no longer Batman and that Robert Patterson is gonna be the new one with Mat Reeves directing is gonna create some speculation as to Batman-see Variety news story...interesting timing.
  5. it seems the world record of 9,753,740 in the new single session now....its gonna hit 11 million
  6. I think Ha when it comes market share on interested comic art collectors....cant be beat..EQ hit the top price anywhere or any place
  7. Here go the record books almost at 8 million now with comics coming up...world record comic art/book auction about to be broken...any guess...I would say 11 million.....
  8. I have not seen Jim in person in any LA Ha auction...I don't know if he is there, however he has a right to call in a bid...anybody can bid. It is most likely a museum....Georges...
  9. I would say it was probably Jim Halpin or George Lucas...or possible the RR museum....whoever got it....deserves a great hand...I did bid on the piece earlier and it him my limit...so be it
  10. Jim Halpin is a big fan, could be George also...I would lean towards Jim
  11. record prices...Frtiz paintings sold 4.5 mil plus BP look for some great PR on comic book related collectables...
  12. Cap1: 180K plus BP now Cap 13 now 32K plus bp we will see if that Fritz pantings breaks world records in less than an hour
  13. that would assume that the reserve price was not raised by a family change of heart.....50/50 my guess
  14. less than two hours away... Bat#1 170K plus BP Superman#1 now 280K plus BP Barks: Scrooge now 55K plus BP and Mence 38K plus bp
  15. Batman #1 is now 150K plus BP Cap #13 is now 30K plus BP Carl Barks paintings have gone up, Wad-60K, scrooge 46K, Mence 32K plus bp....Look for that Scrooge piece to hit 100K with BP its a classic
  16. 1- Conan the Destroyer- I like both versions as my #1 2-Conan the Berserker 3- Fighting Man of Mars EQ#5
  17. I guess it depends on the "time" in which you buy it....I can remember back at SDCC and at the time AF was my fav new comic book out there....I think he asked originally 700 for the pair but I got him down to 600. When I bought it...One-I liked it BUT I also new it was going to be a good investment. I enjoyed the piece for many years...but I think you can have BOTH mindsets going in to buying a piece like I did, yes I took the money from the sale and bought something else..which has gone up 5X plus since I bought it BUT my time had come on the piece. I still think its BOTH a great investment and a great piece. It was in a way not timed sale, but one which helped me obtain something that I wanted more. In the end, whether up or down, great art like this is a privilege to own, enjoy......and potentially profit from.
  18. As of Monday: Cap 1 at 170K plus BP Superman1 at 220K plus BP Batman 1 at 140K plus BP Cap 13 at 24K plus BP( my favorite along with Cap 1) I think new records prices are coming.....any predictions?
  19. Disagree on that take, great material will always have a market...I think the upside of AF#1 is greater than its downside. Any price under $12,500 which is half of what I value it...is a great buy with a potential for a very large upside. The cover is great...again...it a gamble if you are just interested in the money...but at say 12K that is a great gamble. If you collect, then its great to own it.....I had it hanging for many years.
  20. Unless some super new movies involving those two...in the long run Cap1 is the superior investment dollar for dollar and it will be #3 or #4 depending on Superman 1's future.
  21. In the long run Cap 1...espeically 6.0 and higher
  22. depends if this is made into a movie or series and with so many platforms out there ....there is a great chance it will be picked up...if it does and its great....the sky is the limit on AF1 cover
  23. FYI..my 2019 value of the piece is 25K...they did a nice job on the american flagg hardcovers...
