  1. Anyone know who has been buying up all the high grade Dell Four Colors off Heritage every week for last several months? Some going for several thousand, that are normal a few hundred or so. I have hundreds of file copies that, are in better shape than the "highest graded" CGC copies. Maybe they would want these, if they are looking the highest conditions. These came directly from the Dell warehouse sale in the late 70s. Maybe touched by human hands 3 or 4 times.
  2. I have an underground comic from 1966, that I cannot find any information about. I have contacted several people well known in the comic book business. Shown the comic to them. No one has ever seen or heard of this comic other than the one I have. It's approximately 5x7, opens left to right, and has a price of 60 cents on cover. The comic is titled "Superboobs." It is black and white art, but the heroine and the baddie, "Bare Bottom", are actual photos the two women over lain in the comic, one topless and the other bottomless. One guy who collects underground said the art reminded him of another underground comic called "Batf*g." I have never seen that comic or heard of it either, as I am not an underground collector per say. Anyone heard or know about this book? Publishing Indicia is A.A. & E Publishing Corp Long Island New York. No artist or author in inside. Pretty funny comic.
  3. Just picked these up Some #1's Sorry about the wrinkle of the bag on the DoDo. Pretty nice copies/
  4. Look I have another Duck to go with the others. More of a goose look though. This is my best of 4 copies of this thing.
  5. Fellow boardie was kind enough to let me purchase these from him last week. I look forward to having them in hand this week. Maybe next, darn holidays slowing the mail. Thanks Jim and in honor of that....I tacked down a decent grade #2. CGC has one as 6.0 only so I am hoping for the best upon grading.
  6. So remember I posted the Algie #1 9.8 a few days back I won off Heritage, right? So, I looked around a bit and just purchased these 3 other high grade copies. So now I got one for each of my kids and me...and cornered the market, All three look pretty darn nice.
  7. Yeah. I forgot Live was still going on so I just added a top bid of 500.00 so I knew I would get it, luckily I got it for well under at 340.00
  8. Just bought this. Not sure it gets much better than this grade-wise for the age. Here is what I know about it so far. Variant with content from War Front and this variant edition is not currently listed in Overstreet. Pretty excited about winning another in the high 9's
  9. Saw someone posted a Man O' Mars. Found this high grade long while back. I think this has the most intense colors of any comic cover produced of the GA SA era. This would be perfect less the little blemish at the top left. Took me years to find a higher grade copy. I just sent it in for grading so we will see how the blemish affects the grade.
  10. Very cool HTF in high grade. More of a goose neck back then. I sent you a PM as well.
  11. Ok. Well if anyone wants to see some wicked books when they come back shoot me a email address and I'll send some pics. Got about 90 books being graded right now. Buck Rogers 1940 #1, Super-Mystery V1 #1, Tom Mix #1 1940, File copy of "If the Devil Would Talk" 1950, Weird Comics #1 1940, File Copy of Tegra, Jungle Empress #1 (1948), Attack On Planet Mars #NN (2copies), C-M-O- Comics #1 & 2, Lars of Mars #1 & 2 etc... all high grade. Also is there any other forums around the web where you can post any comic no matter who graded them?
  12. Is it okay to post CBCS graded books here? I have some pretty cool books coming back soon.
  13. Wasn't going to post this, but he is one of about 100+ file copies I recently bought from one of the guys who bought the Dell warehouse. Not DC or Marvel, but very rare let alone in this grade. Thought it was worth a look. Posting this for Sagii and Timely. Enjoy, doesn't get any cleaner than this. Hoping for high 9's once graded. FOUR COLOR #24 (1943)
  14. So, I decided to send these in after having them for about 6 or 7 years. I bought them all from some guy who had moved to Europe decades ago and took his comics with him he had bought as a kid. Everyone says these are hard to find in Universal High grade. Prior to this there was only two CGC graded 3-D Action, with an 8.0 being the highest. Well now there are two 8.0's I guess, and I am happy to report the other came back a highest graded 8.5 As far as the 3-D Tales of the West it's the only graded copy as of now. I have never seen another with the glasses attached. Who knows enjoy. You guys would know better than me if these are HTF or not in high grade. Sorry for the lower grade pics. These are and odd size, not magazine but a little larger than GA so they arein Magazine holders and won't fit on scanner. [/url
  15. Actually, Collector its nice to see some different interests in here as well. I understand the scarcity of books like that. I myself collect obscure books and can appreciate finding them in high grade like yours. It's pretty hard to find comics or giveaway comics in high grade. Most people didn't keep them or take care of books like those back then. I got about 60 books in for grading, I'll post some oddball stuff when I get them back in a couple months. You know stuff like...Secret Missions #1, Peter Paul's 4 in 1 Jumbo Comic, Weird Comics #1, C-M-O #1and #2, etc...
  16. Well you know I like the off-beat stuff. Just picked this up. Highest graded.
  17. Amadeus Arkham, Take it from a guy that knows Disney and Dell comics. I am not sure what squishing consists of, but pressing the book will do little to help condition based on photos. It will be at best a 4.5 likely a 3.5. Take the money you would waste on pressing this book and buy one like the one listed below. It will give you an idea of how even a better quality WDCS of the same volume price low in comparison to price guide values. When it comes to old Disney and Dell stuff, if the comics aren't extreme NM the value is not there for anything less. There is huge demand for Dell/Disney, but only at the high grade. Anything less than that has no demand, hence no value. That set aside there is demands for any grade WDCS of volume #1 and maybe Volume #2. http://www.ebay.com/itm/WALT-DISNEYS-COMICS-AND-STORIES-60-VOLUME-5-12-SEPT-1945-DONALD-DUCK-/171372381994?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item27e697072a
  18. Love the Seven Seas myself. I own a couple #1's and a 2 in great shape. I also have this #3 in pretty nice shape as well.
  19. My oldest comic and only graded copy. I guess its rare, or if anything it's at least old. At 90 years old surprising it has held together. One more decade and she's a hundred.
  20. Sqeggs I wouldn't worry about the minor color touch. In reality who cares if it has such a minor amount of color touch that you can't even tell. Sometimes people make too big a deal out of a minor color touch. It's still an old comic in great shape that is hard to find. Nice comic, as you know I am a Dell guy as well. I just sent in 20 high grade Dell books to the new comic grading company starting in July. Let's just say bye bye to ever sending anything to CGC for me for a long while. Hopefully the competition will make CGC speed up their service and lower their ridiculous prices. I have been waiting for a new legitimate company to grab the reins of comic grading and now it has happened. I have 2500+ books the new company will be getting from me over then next couple years. Very excited about the new company.
  21. Did anyone find anything out about the Animal Crackers I posted? Thanks
