  1. Gotta do more research on the Captain Marvel Jr.....had this Bulletman as well that looks to have been published around the same time....never seen either one before....
  2. There was one other promo poster....a DD from 1985.....I prefer the Thor "frog" poster myself.....
  3. Was supposed to go to a comic show yesterday but it got cancelled due to covid restrictions. Wanted to spend some $$$ so got together with one of the dealers who was supposed to set up at the cancelled show and came home quite a bit lighter in the wallet but with some good stuff!
  4. Love my spinners....only 2 in this room but have 4 and counting
  5. Well....I could put them on the walls but then I would never see them again....
  6. Thanks guys! I do putter around in it quite a bit...lol Here are the other two corners of the room that could not be seen in the other post... If you look close enough you can see a couple of my coolest acquisitions from this summer....
  7. This is about as organized as my comic room ever gets.....
  8. Read Jim Butcher's new Dresden Files book, a couple Joe R Lansdale books and am on book #9 A Serpent's Tooth in the Craig Johnson Longmire series. Loved the TV series but am enjoying the novels even more!
  9. Went to an auction Sat....this is the only thing I came home with....one of my favorite SA comics.....
  10. AND.....before HPB and the show stopped at a flea market and picked up these goodies for a $100 bill....
  11. Went to Half Price Books and a comic show today....these were all $1 or less....
  12. 1. A lot of work 2. Call up promoters and sign up 3. Me, a friend and brother all go in on stuff together. My brother is retired from shows for the most part as of this year however. Also get my wife & daughter to help most shows and have a couple other friends I call in a pinch if we need extra help. 4. Some weekends there will be a show on Sat and another on Sun....they pile up quickly that way. 5. Well, it was worse when I was also the Head Wrestling Coach at our High School for 28 years....At least now I do have a moment or two to do other things I like....
  13. Thanks....Between my job as an educator and a comic entrepreneur...doesn't leave me much free time....lol Before covid would do 25-30 comic conventions a year....so would move a bunch that way plus have several buyers for bulk that I don't want to deal with. This year...different for sure. Have done 5 shows since covid....1 each in June, July, August and 2 last weekend (Sat & Sun). All little shows with no big multi-day shows planned in the near future. Because of fewer shows have adapted to more online (Facebook and eBay) sales.... All said and done I don't know really how good I am at turning stuff over when there are 1000+ long boxes cluttering up everywhere....and usually by the time I dig through the stacks to find that "hot" book which has popped it's 10 minutes of fame is over.... NOW....a true buying & selling machine is Earl Shaw....that man finds (and sells) more than anyone I know....Legendary!!
  14. Stopped by the local flea market after school today. One booth has $1 or 6/$5 comics. Always find some good stuff.....here are some I picked up today.....
  15. After reading the article I must sadly report that cover was quite misleading as there was no definitive answer to the question...
  16. I had to have the Hulk poncho....such awesome condition for 1978.... And I will get back with you on Elvis after I read the article....
  17. I don't casually find anything....takes work to find the good stuff!....And that TTA was not cheap (but it was a good deal!)
  18. Went to a couple small shows this weekend....picked up around a short box of stuff...here are a few of my cooler purchases and trades...
  19. This thread is always great to see what cool amazing things people find out there!!
  20. Auction Saturday.... Paid a bunch for the HOS 92 and Spidey but the romance were a great deal at like $3 each....the 100 page Love Stories is a real toughie to find!
  21. Auction Sat....ended up with around 3 boxes of comics, some toys, paperbacks and miscellaneous stuff....the Superhero/Star Wars 1970's Wallpaper were some of my favorite buys of the day! The 25th anniversary Marvel poster can go upwards of a couple hundred bucks.... And a couple 1984 Marvel wall hangings....
