Sunday's comic show pick-ups... The Jimmy 2 & 4 $200 for the pair.....The Madhouse $80....and all the moderns $2 each....bought some OA as well.....a good day

Always fun going through comic boxes but dirty as heck from storage....everthing will need to be r ebagged and boarded except the half I am bulking out....not messing with that. The Showgirls was an unexpected surprise!! Missed it as i looked through the boxes when i bought them. Nothing really like it in any of the boxes and not a ton of Silver & Gold in the collection..... McDonald's was lunch and I was hungry so it was pretty tasty!

Well....bought a collection of about 40 boxes last weekend. Was supposed to be an organized collection or runs of stuff that the latest book was around 1992.....one box was supposed to be Amazing Spider-man 60 up and man did I have high expectations..... After I looked at the 1st box I new that the collection was going to be nothing close as it was advertised to me (Marvel Tales is not Amazing Spider-Man)..... End result was I paid bulk prices and was able to salvage some ok books but what a let down for a 6+ hour round trip..... Here are a few of the better ones...

Many fond memories of the Comics Corral!! Hated when Hoss finally ended that little message board....made lots of friends there and met several in person at different conventions through the years....

That's cool....Don't know that there is anything special but I'll look them over before I process them....would have loved to have found some Hall of Heroes issues....but alas none to be had..

Convention $1 boxes....new to the market and I was the first in them....

Cincy.....Not saying the Cfrogs were the best deal ever...I just picked 'em up for the van Sciver art....with discount everything cost 75 cents each so no complaints on the purchase from me.....

Convention set-up day and I was the first to go through a bunch of unpicked new to market boxes!

Thanks! Got to do some legwork to pick up stuff like this but if you can put in the time (and have an understanding wife!) then it's out there to be had! Going to look at a 20k+ comic collection next weekend that I have a lead on....Taking the big van, some $$$ and hoping we can work out a reasonable deal....

Bought some comics at an auction a couple years ago....random guy at the auction said he wanted to sell his childhood collection and since I bought several comics asked if I was interested in his. Went to look at them but couldn't work out a deal at that time.....he gave me a call last night and after over two years from the initial meeting I ended up bringing 6+ boxes home. A lot of Gold Key/Archie/Harvey but a box and a half ended up DC/Marvel....some highlights....

My wife set up an outdoor festival a year ago and I got the gentleman's information there (put up a little sign that "We Buy Comics!").....bought 80 boxes from him last fall. Gave him a buzz last week and went back and bought the 10 more boxes this week....

Can't let this thread fall off the front page! Going to look at small collection tonight and in a week a 20k book collection....if things go well will update with pix.... In the mean time here are a few more from the 10 box purchase a couple days ago.....
