  5. Year after year Chicago has been a great place for buying comics but expect lots of competition before the show starts. Between the dealers who set-up and the many weekend warriors with their free dealer passes.....lets just say that the sharks are circling until the chum hits the water! We have been setting up at Chicago since the mid 90's and most years we make our goal before the show even starts. Last year the buying dealer crowd before the show seemed quite a bit less than usual but our gross at the end of the show was the best ever so no complaints....it was just weird selling more to regular customers than dealers. Our booth will be in the same place as the last several years....booth #1201 Mark Scott Comics....looking forward to it already!
  6. I see where you went with that.... Such a great bronze age series....Black Widow, Inhumans, & the Beast have all made TV or Movie appearances....Killraven might make the best adaptation of all.....
  7. I thought the same thing.....That is easily $500+ worth of stuff.....but I love seeing good deals!
  8. Went to an auction tonight and came away with a bunch misc comics that all together averaged around $3 each. Here are a few highlights.....several GK/Dell #1's......
  9. The Marvel Handbook is basically an Index of F.F. w/a Jack Kirby interview....nothing great but still an interesting piece of Marvelmania
  10. Picked up a couple of boxes of fanzines a couple weeks ago.....here are a couple of the cooler ones.... And there was a 1987 Chicago Comic Con Program which had 17 autographs on the back page.....a nice surprise!
  11. Only a fair but but at .83 cents (bought 6 comics for $5)......no complaints....
  12. Posted this in the Adventures in the dollar box thread but thought it would fit here as well.... Got this at a Flea Market today in a $1 or 6/$5 box..... Same Flea Market last August found a NM New Mutants 98.....I love that place!
  13. Found this today at a Flea Market in a bunch of $1 or 6/$5 boxes.... Yes....I tinkled in my pants a little when I saw it.....
  14. And some stuff at an auction today.....averaged less than 25 cents each for the comics and around $15 each for the Sketches....a good comic weekend to finish off a fantastic 2019!

  17. This weekend there was an auction that listed 400+ long boxes of copper to modern for sale.....no pics. Usually I would jump at the chance to find some deals but it was 4 hrs from me and I wasn't too sure if the weather would get dicey so I passed.... Can't get everything.....
