Parking lot deal....paid Wayyyyy too much but really wanted them! Can't beat Pre-code horror and cool 1950's romance.....

And they hold your money for 2 business days.....more eBay BS....

Yeah, That one was cool. 1960 edition. Couldn't find one on abebooks or ebay for a price check but I like it no matter what! Can't wait to read the Lady El by Jim Starlin. I read the Among Madmen years ago and really liked it....

For the 1st time in a couple months was able to (safely) buy a small collection that consisted of 6 long boxes of paperbacks, a mag box of mostly comic book marketplaces, a small box of comics, a couple boxes of hardbacks and a couple other boxes of miscellaneous stuff..... A few pics of the cooler comic related books....happy days!

2021....maybe Doing 25-30 shows are a thing of the past this year..... Still have 3 on the schedule for June but would shocked if they all don't get cancelled.... And....no I didn't leave those Spawn's in the $5 box (but there's tons of other stuff that I'm sure I've missed )

During this time of stay at home orders in Indiana our friends at Aw Yeah Comics-Muncie are having a Live Facebook Comic Sale every evening at 7:00 PM until they can resume regular business hours. On any given night they will have Silver Age Comics, Bronze Age, Modern Comics, Variants, Signed Comics.....you name it! The Sale usually lasts an hour & a half to two hours. They have great prices and have a pretty high sell-through rate night after night. Tonight's theme is Horror Comics! Go to the Aw Yeah-Muncie Facebook page and enjoy the show! (and buy some comics to support a great LCS... )

What is really lucky is that all of these were for sale in my $5 boxes and nobody bought them at the shows they were at... Wish I knew where they came from but I buy so much stuff that they could have come from literally anywhere.....

The 138 came in the same bunch with the 136 & 137 which leads me to believe the same person probably bought all three at the same place....

You must not have read my previous reply....the sticker is not on the bag. I am not into newsstand issues either.....thus my questions.....

Nope...sticker is on the comic.... My knowledge of newsstands is very little but I figured there are several around these parts that would something about this issue....

Looking for info on this one.... On the Spawnworld website they state that 137 is the last newsstand issue however I found 136, 137 & 138 newsstand issues all together. The 138 has a newsstand sticker at the bottom attached. The Spawnworld site says there were some issues that did have newsstand stickers. I guess what I'm asking is has anyone seen a 138 newsstand like this before?! Thanks for any info from those in the know!

Great story Doc....as I was reading it I figured that you had purchased the Showcase from Bill (Confirmed in later posts!). He and I talked briefly last weekend about that very comic and how that was the one Showcase I never broke down and purchased. Congrats on owning such an iconic book (for the second time!)…...Hopefully, you still have a cool Batman #8 lying around somewhere

Indiana Comic Con April 10-12 is postponed until later in the year....no new date yet

This Pre-Code crime was in a little collection I purchased yesterday....almost everything was Silver to Modern and then this little gem!
