  3. This stunner of All-True Crime # 43 Arrived Today. Written by Carl Wessler and unknown. Art by Pierce Rice, John Tartaglione, Vernon Henkel, Bill La Cava, Al Fass, Mike Becker, Ed Moore, and unknown. True cases prove crime can't win! The all-true crime chronicle of Doc Channing Paulson, who committed a murder and couldn't stop running until justice halted him! Don't miss the startling facts behind 1930's brutal..."Man Hunt in Hell's Kitchen" with art by Al Fass. Also in this issue: "He Passed the Queer" with art by Vernon Henkel (the story explains that "pass the queer" is an underworld term for distributing counterfeit money); "Earl Cardozza, the Man With No Face" with art by Bill La Cava; "The Corpse"; 2-page text story "Taken For a Ride"; "The Ugly Woman" by Carl Wessler, Pierce Rice and John Tartaglione; "Hide-Out" with art by Mike Becker; and "The Crates of Murder" with art by Ed Moore. 48 pages, full color. 4. Sweet addition. Is he going to shoot him with it or choke him with it?
  5. In today, Justice #25. "The Death of Danny Lewis" (art by Jerry Robinson), "The Man Who Couldn't Stop" (story by Carl Wessler, art by Jac Scott Pike), "Badge #8725," and "The Secret of Simon's Shop" (art by Tony DiPreta). Two-page text story, "The Scales of Justice." This would be a bad way to go.
  6. X posted in Crime thread. Love the Timely/Atlas Crime Covers.
  7. Just one arrived today, but its a favorite of the local crime syndicate.
  8. Yep, gets an "A" for creativity and efficiency if he takes out all three. I have to question his method of dropping it from the 2nd floor though.
  9. Tuesday's haul of C&P. To say I was pleased when I opened these would be an understatement. I bought them all as VG, personally think they're slightly better.
  10. Just added these two books. The run has some nice covers, and some stories written by Stan Lee. Numbering started a little wacky like a lot of GA crime, but seems to be an underrated series (I couldn't even find a set registered in the registry for them).
  11. Since were talking about MTU. Why isn't there a MTU thread? Or is there?
  12. Marvel team-up covers are so underrated. There are some great covers in this run.
  13. First, let me state that I'm not a price variant collector. But, the story behind this recent purchase goes like this....... Eight year old me was standing at the spinner rack in my local convenience store. Among my choices were this book, which instantly popped out at me due to the cover, and the fact that it was ¢35 while most others were still ¢30. I spent the extra nickel and opted for this one, cause I already had the #1 issue. Took it home, read it, and laid it on top of a magazine rack where it stayed for years.(for some reason I always kept this book on top) It stayed there until I was about 17 years old, when I traded to a friend of mine who came over and looked through my books. It was a book that I saw every time I walked into my room as a kid for almost ten years. So, when I saw it this week in this condition, I brought it "home".
  14. Putting together a Batman run. Started with #217 since I believe it was the first book on stands in 1970 (Published December 1969), but may go back a few and start with #214 (1st 15 cent copy). Either way haven't decided where the ending point is going to be. Thought about ending it around 1980 with issues #318/319 but am not sold on that exact ending point just now. Anyway here is a few I received this week, with #227 arriving Monday.
  15. I mean that mat in front of the door does say "Welcome".
