  1. Looks like Phil Schlaefer of Champion Comics. He usually shares a booth with Heroes Comics from Campbell. Phil used to bring a fossball table to SDCC. If you could beat him, you got a discount. Nobody has ever beaten him.
  2. When they first came out, I bought mine at my LCS, Comics & Comix in Berkeley.
  3. As I reviewed the many Feldstein covers that I have in my collection, I picked this oddball. I have several copies. I also added this Gahan Wilson cartoon from Playboy that my long time comic book dealer and true EC fanatic, the late Gary Arlington, put in his store.
  4. Heroes in Campbell, CA. Dealer sold me the last Phantom Lady that I needed several years ago.
  5. First show that I attended since the start of the pandemic. Marc (House of Comics) gave his space to another vendor, which was extremely gracious of him. Fairly well attended by kids of all ages. Next show will be in late September at the Berkeley Adult School, if the city allows larger gatherings. My haul. The Sup 11 and war books were purchased from the always jovial Terry O’Neill.
  6. You snooze, you lose! Going beat Woowoo to the good stuff!
  7. The only one I have is Donald Duck’s Atom Bomb by Carl Barks that I purchased as a college student in the mid-seventies. How time flies.
  8. I have most of the reprints, but one of the best ways to read them is by checking them out of your local library as ebooks free of charge. I have read eight Spider pulps since June. The wonderful interior artwork will not be found in the ebooks.
