  1. The list of games for the PS4 is pretty small right now, especially for young children. Usually takes a while, at least one year, until the developers build a nice list of games. The PlayStation and XBox consoles are really for teen and adult gamers. I barely see any five year old kids games on this list. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_PlayStation_4_games
  2. The rest of us have to hunt down books and the books just walk into your shop. Love the FC 238, which is tough to find in high grade.
  3. After years of searching, I finally got all three Barks March of Comics.
  4. Beautifully drawn by Matt Baker, the Canteen Kate books come across as more screwball dame comics, such as Dan DeCarlo My Friend Irma, My Girl Pearl, and early Millie the Model. Canteen Kate is also found in Fightin' Marines. They are tough to find books. Where would you put Giant Comics Edition #12, which has the infamous streetwalker cover, with repackaged romance comics inside.
  5. very nice Ray. Might be the near most complete joker cover collection in town. Ben, I am still looking for three Tec 114, 124, and 193. I am uncertain about Batman 49, since the character is a Joker Doppelgänger. Of course, I am a cheapskate, picking quantity over quality. I am certain some clandestine guy has a complete set of Bat and Tec books in the Bay Area. Ray
  6. Fast shipping. Excellent communications. Pleasant seller. http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Board=78&Number=6756136&Searchpage=1&Main=301856&Words=&topic=0&Search=true#Post6756136
  7. And Mouses? Mi diverto solo Floyd Gottfredson Topolino. Amo l'Italia, specialmente multa abbigliamento su misura Italiano.
  8. The uncensored splash to Trick or Treat has been published many times. Source. http://duckcomicsrevue.blogspot.com/2012/10/trick-or-treat.html Censored splash. Uncensored splash. I could talk about Duck books all day.
  9. My favorites in no particular order are: Old Castle's Secret Lost in the Andes Sheriff of Bullet Valley Golden Helmet North of the Yukon North of the Yukon shows Uncle Scrooge's true colors. The stories featured in the Four Color one-shots and March of Comics were simply amazing.
  10. Sniped this on eBay on Sunday and I already have it today. Saw Primetime's copy in person last year and decided to get one.
  11. Congratulations! I have a raw 1.0 of this outstanding Baker cover. Matt Baker drew romance comics with dynamic natural poses. Other great artists such as Bill Ward and Wally Wood drew figures that looked stiff compared to Baker.
  12. Leef Smith, owner of Mission Comics & Art, was kind enough to let me use his shelves to photograph my collection of Joker covers. I still need Batman 49, Detective 62, 114, and 193. I also put my Jerry Robinson collection Batman 1 in the photo.
  13. What book is the Spider-Widow from? Spider-Widow started in Feature Comics #57 from Quality. The comics are public domain and can be found in the digital comics museum. Spider-Widow is another bored socialite with time on her hands to fight crime and injustice.
  14. In Mad #19, Will Elder drew the hilarious "Mickey Rodent", where "Goony" aka Goofy shamed "Darnold Duck" into wearing pants. Here is the story on a blog. http://johnglenntaylor.blogspot.com/2009/01/mickey-rodent-mad-19.html
  15. GAtor, Got any video? Maybe instead of selling action figures and high end comics, you missed your true calling? there are a few videos around. I have one I vainly did where I hit 97/100 free throws. Come to Chicago in August and join us for a game ...live and in person (thumbs u GAtor, I have gotten old and slow, since I am much older than you. I broke my college roommate's leg and was called the dirtiest player ever, so I don't play much hoops these days. 97 out of 100 is pretty darn good. I am planning on New York, and maybe Chicago. Just got a phone call from my friend from Chicago. Maybe?
  16. GAtor, Got any video? Maybe instead of selling action figures and high end comics, you missed your true calling?
  17. GAtor, Were you a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon? http://www.gainesville.com/article/20130106/ARTICLES/130109772/1182?Title=Letters-indicate-troubled-frat-was-accused-of-theft-hazing-underage-drinking- And were you still collecting comic books in the college days?
  18. In addition to the previously listed stories, I love: March of Comics 4 Maharajah Donald March of Comics 20 Darkest Africa - newer printings are censored Donald Duck's Atom Bomb (Cherrios giveway) I spoke like Professor Sleazy from Atom Bomb for months, "Verr-ry Beculiar, Brovessors!" I finally got a copy of MOC 20.
  19. What do boardies think about these Matt Baker books? The Amazon review for book 3 was really bad, "Worst reprint volume I've ever seen." The books look like a printed version of Matt Baker public domain comics from the Digital Comic Museum, with incomplete stories. http://www.amazon.com/Matt-Baker-With-Love-Golden/dp/1478221399/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1354580550&sr=8-3&keywords=matt+baker http://www.amazon.com/Matt-Baker-With-Love-Issue/dp/1479210382/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1354580550&sr=8-6&keywords=matt+baker http://www.amazon.com/Matt-Baker-Love-Issue-Volume/dp/1479252956/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1354580550&sr=8-4&keywords=matt+baker
  20. Congratulations on the highest graded FC 386!
  21. Got an e-mail notice from Amazon today, book is delayed (again, and again...) until January 8th, 2013. I spoke to the author at NYC. He said that the book is at the printers right now. They had found an artist who had worked with Matt Baker. They revised the original manuscript to include the new information that they received.
  22. Not exactly a romance cover, but just got this. Copy has no back cover and the front cover is has a big tear. The book has a whopping 128 pages. I bid placed a bid on another copy at 20% over GPA, but the seller's reserve was set really high. Happy hunting boardies!
  23. I remember buying that one off the stand, as well. I remember even as a kid being puzzled by the newsprint cover. Maybe a failed experiment by Gold Key? There's a similar 25 cent reprint issue from that period that reprints "The Old Castle's Secret" and another story or stories. The cover is printed on regular cover stock, though. You are referring to the Best of Donald Duck and Uncle Scrooge #1, which reprints "FC #189 - Old Castle's Secret" and "FC #408 The Golden Helmet." Issue #2 reprinted "FC #256 - Luck of the North" and "US #7 - Seven Cities of Cibola." The cover of issue #1was modified to include Uncle Scrooge, whereas the original only had Donald and the nephews. In my poor student days, I bought these reprints before going after the originals just so that I could read the stories. I never noticed the modified cover. Is it known whether Barks redrew it? Old Castle's Secret and Golden Helmet were probably my two favorite duck stories as a kid. A couple of years later I picked up a really beat copy of FC 422, Gilded Man, which is also a great favorite. The new cover was penciled by Tony Strobl, according to http://coa.inducks.org/issue.php?c=us%2FBDDUS+1
