  1. Marvel Comics printed during this time were non-glossy. I checked Margie, Venus, and Comedy Comics from the late forties.
  2. Just purchased another great comic book from Jim. Speedy shipping, USPS proof packing, Accurately graded. Thanks again. Looking forward to your next sales thread.
  3. Hi Rick, Which is harder to run? Your comic book store or your massive mail order action figure business? Did you save one of those full size Star Trek Original Series Captain Chairs? All the best, Ray aka BitterOldMan
  4. Jim is a gracious, humble, and great seller. Communications A+ Speedy shipping A+ Accurate grading A+ Well packed A+ Thanks!

Purchased on Friday June 24th and safely arrived on Monday June 27th. Comics were well packed, accurately graded, and reasonably priced.
  6. My favorite APC cover, too. It reminds me a lot of the cover to All-True All-Picture Police Cases #2, but I like this one more. They are similar and I agree that this one is better. Gotta admire that crook; I don't think there has actually ever been a successful robbery from one of the Federal Reserve Banks. Tony, Think outside the box. Think cybercrime. $81 million went to the Phillipines and $20 million went Sri Lanka straight out of the Federal Reserve in New York City. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2016_Bangladesh_Bank_heist

  8. Jeremy rates as a superior seller. Purchased one comic book from him and received it right away. Communications A+ Grading Accuracy A+ Packing A+ Speedy and Free Delivery A+ Thanks again!
  9. I certain that my fellow boardies saw the Comedy #3 that went for $998 yesterday. http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&item=282037959830&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2565
  10. I have a complete set of My Friend Irma, because I was only focusing on Dan DeCarlo Millies, My Friend Irma, Nellie the Nurse, Hedy of Hollywood, Sherry the Showgirl, and Showgirls. I love Steve's Teen Comics #26 and Tony's sweet Matt Baker books. I found the last My Friend Irma that I needed, while wandering less than a block from my mother's house. Be certain to check for completeness. Many of the paper dolls were cut out of the Millie and My Friend Irma comics. My collecting gets too myopic, and I certainly missed out on many great books, because I did not know that they existed until I joined these great boards. Thanks for sharing your great books and happy collecting.
  11. Robot Man, In your many junking trips, did you ever acquire the Operator 5 ring or The Spider pulp ring. Really love you stories. Tonight, I will gawk at the Doc Savage pin that you sold me earlier this year.
  12. Congratulations Tony! Certainly is a tough three comic set to complete. Plus prices have really escalated over the last few years.
  13. During the Silver Age, Jimmy Olsen was a big time cross dresser.
  14. This cover always cracked me up with Bucky shooting around Cap's leg.
  15. Robot Man, thanks for sharing. Only rubber stamp I have ever seen went for over $1300 on Hakes. You certainly have that Raiders of the Lost Ark mentality and I love it. I don't have a Doc Savage rubber stamp, but purchased this James Bama homage cover by Alex Ross on my last trip to SDCC.
  16. UNC or Villanova tonight? UNC has crushed every opponent by 14+ points, whereas Villanova has shot the lights out, except against Kansas. Tonight's game reminds me of 1985 Villanova vs Georgetown. You were only a young GAtor back then.
  17. thanks for the pics Robot Man. Yah, I looked at Carbo's Caps the week before at Silicon Valley con, but he wasn't going to break up this new Cap collection... Didn't get any of the Caps but that original Hulk model is in my junk pile now... Robot Man, Great Wonder Con report. Congratuations on finding an original 1966 Aurora Incredible Hulk model with artwork by Neal Adams. I purchased the kit in 1966, built, painted and destroyed mine. Has the Wonder Con atmosphere changed since the move from Anaheim CC to LA Convention Center and scarcity of SDCC tickets? Happy collecting!
  18. I attended the show in 2010, when location was Mission Hills, which is northwest of the current location. The vendors had a great selection of vintage paperbacks. Gary Lovisi of Gryphon Books used to run the New York Collectible Paperback show on the same weekend as NYCC. Sadly, his extensive rare paperback collection, which was stored in his basement in Brooklyn, was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy in 2012. The last New York show was 2013.
  19. You speak as if that's a good thing. Actually, it sounds like my kind of show. Wish I could have been there. Tony, You will enjoy this old school comic books only show. The hotel rooms are one third the price of the SDCC rooms. My room had a jacuzzi. I bought more books at this con than all the three cons I attended last year, London Super Comic Con, Wizard Chicago, and New York. Best of all, I met Robot Man in the flesh.
  20. Robot Man A pleasure to meet you in person. Also met TriColorBrian and Sacentaur at your booth. Thanks for selling me this marvelous book and bringing the Doc Savage pin.
  21. Dale delivered the four comics in Post Office proof packing and timely manner. He must be a mutant to run those huge sales threads. Love buying from him in person and by mail.
  22. Purchased last year. My first post this year. Other than CL25, one of my favorite Baker covers.
