  1. Sorted - Joey did not tick the 9.8 pre-screen box.

Sorry Andy but that's a major oversight.

At the risk of being unpopular..

Joey does his job well but his communication skills are seriously flawed IMO. He never lets you know what was done with each individual book and never contacts you unless you contact him first.

Tony Stark from Comics in a flash - absolutely awesome. A fantastic communicator that kept in touch with me constantly. I never had any issues with how much anything was going to cost like I did with Joey.

Joey even ignored all my paperwork that I sent in specifying some books to be fast tracked etc. All my books were submitted under the modern tier.

At every stage (when books were pressed, when they were sent to CGC, when they were posted) Tony sent me a message. I was never left wondering.

Joey might be suited to some but he isn't the messiah and there are other options out there.

    Just my humble opinion.

  2. if they pass a pre-screen but you get a lower grade, do you still have to pay for them.

If they fail a pre-screen, they don't get graded. I've had a few fail and they get sent back raw. They NEVER get encapsulated (shrug)

  3. Got my revival lot back in full yesterday:

    18 x 9.8

2 x 9.6 (I have no idea why - must be something inside?) passed both Joey and CGC pre-screen..

    2 x 1:10 var 9.8

    no 9.9's for me!

Nice haul buddy. The price they're at now you'll still probably make some coin on the 9.6's anyway (thumbs u

  4. If Viperdays is right on east of west will everyone buy x1000 of next ongoing?

That's why his reasoning is flawed. It's that easy is it? Buy 100, 500 or 1000 copies of the latest number 1 Image title with an established creator/writer and sit back and count my money.

Might as well quit my job now... I didn't realize "investing" was that easy.

  5. Anyone else find it weird that the normal copy is up to $30 yet it doesnt seem any of the variants have really gone up in value?

If you had a bunch of raws, you'd be better off selling them rather than graded copies or variants IMO. Raw books are going through the roof.

They are at 30 now, what do you see them going to, or is this the top of the mountain.?

To be honest, I think raw copies will stay steady for a few months at least but I can't see them rising dramatically. Graded copies will gradually rise though. That's what my crystal ball is telling me right now anyway lol

  7. im not gonna lie guys, the phantom thing has me down about this book. really unsure about keeping my run going.

I honestly don't think that the general public cares about phantom variants. This is a good book with good writing. Stick with it 2c

  8. Doesn't seem to be many sales of the Third eye variant... I've got a 9.4 and a 9.6 that I'm hoping I can offload at some point :wishluck:

Was it you who bought my 9.4? lol

Sadly.. I submitted it myself lol I guess you know the feeling....

  9. I hate the fact that people are talking about a book being dead, simply because it's not selling as well, or for as much as they would hope.

This book is not dead at all. It has 2 issues that I, and many others have enjoyed, and I for one can't wait for issue 3. Not everything is about money (shrug)

If you only care about this book, in terms of speculation, then you may very well be at a bust, but there are 3 issues being released in less than 2 months so lets see where things are when that's all been said and done.

I really pity how the modern forum has been a primarily about speculation and nothing else.

Its going to become a niche book that will appeal to certain fans. I tried to like it because I like almost all Spencer's done so far, but between the content and the art it just wasnt for me. Maybe the first trade will pull interest back in and develop a strong following. I compare it to that book JJ liked awhile back Severed.

I agree regarding the content of this book. I really thought that it tried way to hard to be different when it felt more like a "joker" story. The comparisons to the Joker aren't a good thing. Bedlam needs to stand alone, it needs to get away from comparisons and stand out for its own reasons.

I also thought it way way too long and drawn out... Too heavy with dialogue for my liking. The variants will only hurt the book for a short time though. Most of the general public couldn't care less if a book has 15 variants or not. They will read it if they are drawn to the story.

  10. Yeah. Internet time is different than the real world. A day here is like a week in the real world (that's why it seems so slow off the grid).

(side note: what the he!! am I talking about?)

All I know is that I wasted 5 minutes of my life trying to make sense of your message. Or is that 40 minutes internet time?

    I'm so confused lol

  11. I REALLY liked Nowhere Men. Lots of extra's jammed into the issue with the bios on the first couple pages and the magazine article in the back. It feels very well thought out. I liked the first issues because it jumped back and forth between time periods and didn't treat the reader like a complete insufficiently_thoughtful_person explaining everything. Gives you just enough to be interested but doesn't answer all the questions.

Also, visually it's well put together with the art / fonts / graphics. Looks like Eric is using the same people that do the lettering and logos for SAGA.

Loving all the science fiction stuff IMAGE has been pumping out lately. I haven't had a chance to check out Think Tank but if it's similar to this I'll have to check it out!

Think Tank is one of the better books from this year. If you're not reading it you're missing out.

  12. Andy, the film reference is 'Get Carter' and mate if you don't calm it down a bit I can see you going for a stroll on the beach, with the mods. An opinion is one thing, outright venom and personal attacks - no need...

(gap left for you to insert some form of bilious reference to me)

    QFT.

Hard to take your opinions seriously when couched in so much venom and hate. You just come off as a sad, angry little troll.

Venom and hate? That's a bit rough. I can't see any of that is Andy's posts personally. Passionate maybe, but that's about it.
