  1. Thanks, guys. I'll eventually get through the rest of the run up to #100. But in the meantime, here's some annuals as kind of a sorbet between courses.
  2. I think there are 197 high grade romance books left in the world. And Greggy has about two-thirds of them. Great books, Greg.
  3. Thanks, guys. I'm having fun sharing the scans. I've been spending my time mostly on Bronze books in the last couple years. It's been nice to metaphorically dust off some old school Silver Age books. More to follow...
  4. What's keeping this book from a higher grade? It's beautiful.
  5. From #1 to #150, I'd say I bought about half my current ASM collection raw. Although for the books under #25, I had some 9.4s and 9.6s come back from CGC but they were mostly of 9.2s and 9.0s. Fortunately, I was able to sell those and buy nicer copies before the prices got too nutty. My #3 (9.4), #7 (9.6), #12 (9.4) were all bought raw which makes me particularly fond of them. For the books after #25, my success rate was much higher. But if I had a book that graded a 9.4 (and there were many), I would buy a 9.6 and sell the undercopy.
  6. It is the beginning of the Jackal/Clone story. And those are some of my earliest Spidey memories. But mostly I think it's just a great cover. It's mysterious, dramatic, and I even love the garbage in the street.
  7. Welcome to the boards, Brad! You should post your want list in the Wanted To Buy section of the boards. Here I'm sure you'll get plenty of responses.
  8. It's kind of like Sophie's Choice for me. But... AF #15 (If that counts as ASM) ASM #3 ASM #13 ASM #27 ASM #28 ASM #40 ASM #42 ASM #44 ASM #50 ASM #144
  9. That sounds great, George. Looking forward to seeing the scans. Since I consider you the Godfather of Picture Frame books, I think this collection found its way into the right hands.
  10. That's a very sharp looking book. Great colors.
  11. I think the run of Romita covers from ASM #39 to #75 is one of the best in Marvel's history. There are a few less-than-great covers like #59 and #61. But for the most part, it's a pretty phenomenal series of memorable Spidey images. I agree, but I really like 59 and 61 as well, particularly 59; I'm surprised to hear you don't really like that one, being that it's the first MJ cover. For me, the weakest covers from that run are 63 and 65. Funny, I guess that's a testament to Romita and these covers. I like 63 and 65. It's not that I don't like #59, but for me it's not as strong as a lot of the others.
