  1. It's Gary Friedrich and Ayers. It looks like it's a full length story. If I had bought the book off the stands, I'd be pretty disappointed to see the story inside after seeing that cover.
  2. Sweet books, Frank. They're all perfectly centered too. Is that by design?
  3. Thanks, Frank! I bought most of these books years ago and I've been focusing on other titles lately. So it's been fun to rekindle my love for old Spidey.
  4. When and where did you pick this up? I'm guessing pre-CGC? Fantastic book...odd that it's the only copy I've ever seen in 9.2. And a weird thing--I looked up the serial number and the grade date was listed as 3/2/2005, yet it's clearly an old label book. Was it regraded, or is CGC's database hosed? The database is messed up with this book. I noticed that awhile ago too. I bought it in 2000. It was already slabbed and has never been re-graded or re-holdered.
  5. I had never seen either of the Western Gunfighters covers before. I think the #28 is pretty cool.
  6. I started collecting as a kid in '70s. But I bought most of my ASM keepers in the '90s and early 2000s.
  7. And because I don't love the lighting or focus issues on the group shot...
  8. Very nice. I don't know why square bound books are cooler than all the others, but they just are.
  9. Will do. But I'll have to figure it out the best way (aesthetically and logistically) to do it after I post the rest of the scans.
  10. Thanks. I'm almost done. I think I just have 15 more to post and that'll be everything from AF #15 to ASM #101.
  11. Easy there BUTM. The search function on the boards isn't exactly easy to use. 1) click search 2) type in "sparkle city" 3) set the date range to a year 4) click submit 5) read a wealth of info about sparkle city Which of those steps is the tricky one? I do that the I only results from the past month or so, none older than 4/26/12. What am I doing wrong? Thanks. I guess the problem for me was that I was selecting the "CGC Forum" tab on the left, not the "Comics General" tab. When I click the "CGC Forum" tab on the left, I still only get results dating back to 4/26/12. When I click the "Comics General" tab, the results do go back further in time. One would think that if you click the "CGC Forum" tab, you'd get the results from all the CGC sub-forums combined. For me, the way it's currently set up is not very intuitive. And for anyone who says the search function is easy to use, I'd respectfully say, "Not so much".
