  1. I just made my first edit on Wikipedia in over ten years. Scroll down to the plot and you will see exactly which Tribal Chief they are referring to. I just think I made the movie more interesting. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Madame_Web_(film)
  2. Half past and almost March. Why, what is going on or who hasn't shipped books out?
  3. I opened my Snake Eyes so it was not a deal breaker, but everyone I know who received it directly from Walmart got their sample mangled. Mine came boxed and it was still mangled.
  4. @whisp Are they offering this in Canada? Walmart Retro Classified Stormshadow is back up on Hasbro Pulse. https://hasbropulse.com/collections/back-in-stock/products/g-i-joe-classified-series-storm-shadow-action-figure-2
  5. At this point between the comics and the Lego, at least I know the Lego was not tampered with.
  6. Since it does not look like I am buying comic books any time soon... I preordered these to go along with the Ghost when that eventually arrives. I will probably keep the figures carded though on both the Ghost and the two pack, especially when those two figures were a combined $50. Hasbro is getting ridiculous.
  7. This has actually had the reverse affect on me. It discourages me from buying anything and perhaps advances the timeline I had for selling everything.
  8. SMH... Has CGC been removing books from that list. I am a little unclear whether that was the case or not. I would like all books associated with that so I can run any prospective book against anything that was in that submission. At this point anything received in those submissions is suspect to me and something I do not want in my collection. Anyone have a complete list behind the scenes that would be willing to give me a copy? I am sure I could have asked a few people privately but some of this is complete Bona fied Sewage. As far as CGC Authorized Dealers? That is insane especially when there is / was suspicion that a dealer in Crooklyn was involved with suspect slabs. On top of that, are all of the employees verified, because apparently that cannot be trusted either or can is that for another thread. I dislike hearing that the onus now is to be suspicious of everyone and that the solution is that CGC wants to steer people toward certain dealers. CGC might as well shut down the buying and selling threads then because outside of Dale's once a year thread, I do not usually see dealers listing their items there.
  9. You know, I just tried looking and could not find anything. I would assume that there are numerous examples somewhere though. The thing is that GI Joe had plenty more figures made and there are way more samples of carded broken figures to go by. I would assume the problem could still exist either with the hook degrading over time or the band loosening and tearing.
  10. Yup. First commercial for the game I believe. There is far worse in the NFL than a R trailer for an R rated movie. This response was really just a backdoor way to show off the latest addition to my NFL Legal Troubles Collection, Derrick Ward, who was recently arrested for a string of robberies.
  11. Oh... @Bosco685 I forgot to post pics. Since I took these pics it has already found space around Lego City... Space is becoming a hot commodity though... Don't know where Avengers Tower will go so that is still in the box to be built at a later date. Bugle is nice. There are some aspects I would have changed and will be changing. I would prefer a "non cracked" sidewalk to match up to the rest of the regular modulars and the Marvel ones. I may "fix" the broken window since all the parts are there to make it a smooth facade. I do like the simulation of a non-working elevator. No I did not do stickers. They did not need them. There was a lot of interesting building techniques and I like a lot of the subtle references to Spider-man lore. Peter's office is near perfect from the cartoon and he is even on a storage floor. The only sticker I was tempted to put in Peter's "office" was of the Spiderman head to recreate the meme. This might be the only way to get a Punisher minifgure. Aunt May? Check. Gwen Stacy? Check. Mary Jane? I guess the Lego designers were not fans. I have an extra so not the greatest tragedy. Standout parts of the build were how they did Sandman and the inclusion of the Spider-Buggy. The nice thing is that those lines on the side of the building are pieces originally used for battery operated trains. Those are the railway tracks from the 1960's and 1970's. It was nice to see the mold still around. and in use.
  12. First trailer has dropped... Noe the Secret Wars comic on the side of Deadpool.
  13. Ouch... So I do not believe that AFA would grade a figure as an 80 with a broken O-Ring so one can only assume that the O-Ring snapped post grading. Costly break. This is why I say, do not buy graded MOC GI Joes or vehicles. I am curious to see how the auction ends though especially as it is offered side by side with an in tact sample graded at AFA 85. Yes I know that the 85 would command more. However there is a much wider than usual disparity between the two due to the broken o-ring. 14. I don't have a LCS. I just wait every few months and place an order for what are by then back issues with MyComicShop
  15. Or contact Comiclink and let them know you were interested in bidding on them but explain why you cannot and link them to these posts. Comiclink has more clout then most users here.
  16. Heh... hopefully you dinged him on the return shipping as well and with the cost of shipping both ways, in the end, it was "more expensive" to buy it locally.
  17. Very true and welcome to the CGC Boards.
  18. Have we forgotten that Washington was the only sitting president to lead American forces into battle? Whiskey Rebellion - 1794 While there was no active engagement as the rebels dispersed before Washington's arrival, Washington is credited with leading the movement of over 10,000 troops to the area with the intention to suppress and disperse insurrectionists.
  19. I have reason to believe that Comic Book Station of Williamsburg, Brooklyn on Eckford is a member of these boards.
  20. CGC HAS legitimately missed things though. I sent in a Superman 3 book with a married centerfold and it was trimmed. Book came back as missing the centerfold with no notes on the trimming. I received the exact same book that I sent in. The tape on the spine was indistinguishable. CGC took it back and marked it as complete but trimmed on the second go around. Mistakes do happen and I do not believe that anything would have triggered a response by CGC that their graders were scamming anyone. A nice ending to that story is that this prompted me to buy a better copy and I now have two copies of Superman 3, one of my all time favorite Superman covers.
  21. They do when they are swapping books. Shad do you remember the hub-bub around Blu Comics? That was the store that closed around 11 or 12 years ago in the Massapequa / Park / Amityville area. First store was in Amityville a little past 110 on Merrick Rd They were originally named Blu Planet as they were selling Blu Ray Disc and importing non US titles eventually getting in trouble for violating street dates Got in trouble for not paying employees Eventually moved to Massapequa across the street from Krischs' Ice Cream by the Massapequa train station. He got in trouble with the comic community after scamming people on Magic the Gathering cases of cards. Told his customers who complained to, "die of AIDs" That went viral as even Bleeding Cool ran with a story about the store and shop owner. Guy was cheating people to make the bills. Guy was eventually dragged out of his own store by the Sheriff since it turned out he was living in the store as he lost his apartment Store eventually closed. When he was at the Amityville location, I was invited to come take a look at the place because a former comic shop employee was now working there from a former store I had shopped at. Blu Planet was trying to get new customers. The store owner at the time gave me a hard sell to send in my books for me. The former store worker was standing behind him and shook his head as to say, "no." I thanked but no thanked him. Why? Employee calls me later and told me the store owner wasn't paying employees unless they were trying to bring in new customers but not to shop there and not to give him my books to hand in. Why? The store owner was swapping books. If you submitted a book of value that he already had like an ASM 300, he submitted his as well and kept the better graded of the two books. His scam was to swap his books with customer books when possible. He was later accused of that as well and people stopped dropping off books with him. I would NEVER recommend ANYONE submitting their books through someone else on anything other than their account. There are a LOT of bad actors out there.
  22. They do know. I thought it was that they cannot universally distinguish whether or not a book was pressed or not if it was pressed by someone other than CCS.
