  1. Kanan was there... when they brought up Ezra ... I think someone said there was a conscious effort not to include him as his story had not concluded.
  2. I think Ezra is more of the key. There was something very interesting about Rise of Skywalker. First of all the jedi scene where all of the dead jedi offer emotional support during the final battle was one of the best parts of the movie. We know Ahsoka must be dead by that point. However there was one Jedi that was noticeably absent from that seen that was written by Colin Treverrow in his version that JJ lifted. Ezra. I think Ezra is going to be key. Now, I say that not to pimp the books that I bought but I believe in it strongly which is why I bought the books.
  3. She sees him in Rebels and he waves or something but I forget if there was anything more than that.
  4. Little bit of bragging tonight... just posted this Baby Yoda meme on my instagram as I was watching the last night of the Trey Anastasio (Phish) show at the Beacon. They are performing live in an empty theater and broadcasting it. It fit... my mouth dropped as I had dropped a comment in the show's chat.
  5. This I absolutely agree with. As much as I liked Last Jedi over JJ's parts, the sequel trilogy shows us how unappreciated episodes 1-3 was.
  6. As far back as 2015 Disney said that Beskar could repel lightsaber strikes. Apparently that was introduced as part of canon. https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Beskar https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Ultimate_Star_Wars,_New_Edition
  7. I was buying up copies of Kanan 1 over the summer.... I snagged an heir to the empire 1 last night... thew the episode on pause and jumped on eBay. I tried to buy two others but they were taken as I was checking out. 1 out of 3 isn't bad. People made more this afternoon than I paid so... I am hoping I actually get it.
  8. That's the part where you should have said, 'challenge accepted'. I totally get it. I strongly recommend Rebels though. Season 1 is kind of aimed toward kids. I have always readily admitted that. Then once Filoni satisfied the Disney execs he turned it into a continuation of Clone Wars by re-introducing Ahsoka at the end of Season 1. Filoni actually winds up exploring more of the mythology of the force and I am actually interested to see if they introduce The World Between Worlds which Filoni actually consulted Lucas on. (I did not know that until linking that article.)
  9. If you had watched rebels you would have the answer.
  10. What makes me laugh about all the hatred to Rian Johnson is that if you really look at Clone Wars and Rebels, Johnson takes a lot of cues from those series. Leia using the force to float back to the ship after being jettisoned into space? Filoni did that first with Kanan in an episode of Rebels. Kanan wasn't even a full Jedi. While there are definitely some flaws, there are so many more cues that Johnson got right that JJ flat out ignored but it's popular to hate on TLJ... it's cool. "Ya'll should do ya homework first." (And I mean that to everyone.)
  11. I hit pause and ran and bought a copy of the 1st Appearance. If you saw the media where we last saw that character then you know who was with them. I am glad I bought a few issues of that first appearance as well. I am hoping the seller I just bought something from honors the deal and ships the book. Since yesterday afternoon when some get to see the episode in advance, 28 copies of that book have sold on eBay.
  12. If you want to watch the most Star Warsiest, Clint Eastwoodiest, sequel to the Dollars Trilogy... watch this Episode... Love love love loved it. Obviously since it is called "The Jedi" there is no spoiler in that Ahsoka Tano is in it, especially after Mando was sent to seek her out by Bo Katan in the last episode. The surprise was who Ahsoka is looking for. That's a spoiler. Oh... and "The Child" finally has a name and we know where he comes from. Dawson plays an excellent older version of Ahsoka Tano and they nailed the live action look to be a progression of when she was last seen in Rebels. Glad I watched the episode at 3am... and then I immediately saw the feeding frenzy for that character's first appearance start flying off the virtual shelves on eBay.
  13. You are going to be so disappointed on December 25th when you go online to see if your books have moved through the system.
  14. The key to pressing a comic is to remember this formula. It’s 13 minutes per page at 325-350. Any warmer and you risk drying the pages out. So a 22 page book takes around 286 minutes or almost five hours. A 64 page golden age book will take 832 minutes or almost fourteen hours. You have to consider the page count. Remember to multitask and while the book is pressing that is when you can work on things like cranberry sauce, potatoes and vegetables.
  15. The kiddies love miles morales....
  16. Miles Morales is actually pretty good as is Kamala Khan
  17. Side note... I had a lil' bunny that would scavenge my garden for vegetables... I would watch him scamper about my backyard from my office window while I worked throughout the day... probably wondering if there is anything left to pillage... I giant' f'n hawk just swooped down and ripped his front leg and face off. Body, detached ear... and his tail... are across my back lawn. Not cool hawk... not cool.
  18. The future of DC is a real discussion but it has less to do with the criticism or being 'woke' as Bleeding Fool cites. We have been saying it for years. Comics in the monthly format are in the decline and the industry needs to be gutted and rebuilt from the ground up if it wishes to survive.
  19. I wrote this over in the movie tv show area:
  20. Makes no sense to me... I mean if it were Spider-man then I would say, sure... it's the corporate symbol... Sort of like if it was an Four Color Disney Duck book and you had a Mickey Mouse label... But Venom?
