Looks like it was stacked in a pile and insects got at it from the spine OR Moisture got at it and then something rubbed up against it over the years. But that book was stacked in a pile at one point with others.

We are reducing things to 50 cents each... After this, it closes and some things will be packed back up. Some things might find their way to Staten Island.

Here you can set your buyer requirements as to who you will allow to purchase your items and who cannot. While it cannot sort out problem children it will disallow habitual non-paying buyers from completing sales with you. I do not require immediate payment so people can more easily request invoices and in some cases people ask if they can buy it now but pay at the end of week. I usually allow that as some people need to wait until pay day. Yes, I do allow blocked buyers to contact me. There has been one occasion where I listened to their story turned the feature off so they could buy it. Sometimes its fun telling someone who is blocked that they really should honor their debts with others because three strikes in one month is a lot. And yes, for anyone that has ever heard that story, all it took were a couple of shady buyers from Greece to try and mess around and I put the entire nation on a my do not sell to list. And while I have not blocked anyone from buying in the last 60 days, I can tell you that I have checked to find out that every now and then, someone is denied purchasing from me because they do not meet the requirements. So, if more people used these features, I do believe it would cut down on the nonsense on eBay.

The parts about the video game are true though. Fett is not part of a storyline... more of a usable character if you get those achievements. And the EU did start with the gaming stuff. Ownership of the site was where I went wrong... I should have double checked that.

I ... could be wrong... I am... wrong. I had thought that Disney or Star Wars had bought it as I remembered reading a few articles where creators had consulted wookiepedia in working on their site.

It was very disorganized before Disney acquired it but to be fair, that is not due to Disney or even Lucasfilm but due to the technology of the time to keep is straight. After 1983, gaming companies provided the original background for the expanded universe. This was where the backstories were created for many characters that had but a fleeting glimpse on screen. There were no online wikipedias or things like that. Everything had to be researched by paper and as can be expected things deviated and things were missed. Eventually Star Wars realized that the community was better at keeping things straight than they had done so they bought Wookieepedia... which was originally a Star Wars fan site. I forget if this was purchased prior to the Disney acquisition of Star Wars. Now, that is the primary tool for keeping track of canon. Disney definitely did stop engaging with Lucasfilm once Iger put Lucas' sequel trilogy plans aside. I know more about this type of stuff than I wish I did. Basically I am exposing what I am reading about while commuting back and forth each day... 1:15 in... 1:30 out...

The article gets it wrong. I had played the game and it was one of the last I ever played as I really don't have time for such things anymore. Boba Fett was inserted into the game as a playable character rewarded to someone if they accomplished certain in-game achievements and was not part of the narrative. For example, Lego Star Wars games are not part of canon. Multiplayer is not part of canon. However a single player narrative is. Battlefront I really did not have that. Battlefront II "did" actually have a single player narrative. Here is what I mean... you could use any of these characters if you made certain achievements in game. So basically, as far as I know, the Mandalorian marks the return of Boba Fett.

People romanticize it but the Expanded Universe was a mess...think 1990's X-Men There were a LOT of bright spots that Disney has been carefully examining and reintroducing with a new narrative and I suspect that that they will continue to so. I believe it was best to close the door on the entire expanded universe out in one flush and then pick and choose, after careful examination, what to reintroduce and what to leave in storage. The two most important things that they have already done? Grand Admiral Thrawn was reintroduced in the Disney TV series Rebels. The survival and return of Boba Fett There have been little nuances though that were part of the old expanded universe that are once again part of the Disney cannon, such as certain ships and weapons, as well as planets and minor characters. I doubt though that they will ever bring Mara Jade into canon since that would conflict too much with the Disney movies.

Yeah, my last three jewelry sales were for for $185, $175, $300. Since I have established that I will not allow returns on jewelry, I get more questions regarding the measurements of slight nuances of each piece that most would never think to put in a listing. In many of those questions they buyer even says, "I noticed that you don't take returns, so I had a few questions." It is a few more steps but it puts the brakes on a culture that seemingly thinks, "I will give it a try and if I don't like it, I will return it." I would prefer a few more of those steps to make sure that the sale goes through. One of the more egregious (fancy word for ballsy) things I have seen is when I accepted a return and could tell that it was not the same piece I sent. She said the stone broke in transit. Hey it can happen. However I noticed that the striations in the image of the piece I sent did not match up with the striations in the stones that were unbroken. Last summer I accepted a return as the piece supposedly broke in transit. They sent me pictures. Once I had the piece in hand I realized that it was not the same piece as the striations in the gemstones were different and I take very detailed pictures. Once I had it in hand I could show eBay what did not match up in the pics that they sent me of the damaged piece. That was reversed in my favor and that was in the 'customer is always right eBay era.' Hey, if it is a legit return I eat that. That's on me as a seller. However, if you try to screw around like that person did, I can be a very petty individual.

Yeah... I have to... In October I picked up the Haunted House / Disney Tower of Terror and the Modular Bookstore during double points month (which are backordered until December). I put those promo sets up on eBay to recover an additional $20 back. I want to see what Black Friday brings us first... then I will go for the Sesame Street House and a couple of sets that I know never go on sale or are reduced at best by 5 cents at Walmart or Amazon.

I am waiting for an incentive... but I am all in on this. If I have to wait until December... I am a patient guy.

They may not change their mind... they may try to scam you. Something like that I would list on Comiclink and Comicconnect at the same time. They are going to act as a 3rd party for that fee. That way, they inspect it. They ship it to the buyer that you do not know. If the buyer wants to return it, they list it in their auction. They do not come to you asking for the money back. If the buyer sends back an empty slab as we recently witnessed on the boards on a $500 book, that is for them to deal with and not you.

As @Lightning55 said it depends on what you are selling. Because I also sell jewelry I found that listings with 'no returns' actually stopped people from returning things. Previously I had too many instances of buyers purchasing it to wear once or twice and then returning it once they were done. It forced people to make up their mind as to whether or not they really wanted it. If I was dealing with nothing but action figures then I would offer returns since people that buy a Star Wars or GI Joe figure are less likely to return something. But as far as their being nothing such as 'no returns' on eBay. That is simply not true. Get someone on the phone and if you can make a case as to why the buyer is in violation of the return process and their user agreement, (If they are), eBay will still side with you.
