  1. @comicwiz Joe... thoughts? The first offerings of 'The Child' have been made from Funko and Mattel. Hasbro is notably absent from providing any news. With Hasbro's Star Wars license reported to run through the end of 2020, could this be the end of Hasbro's 25 year hold of the toy rights?
  2. I done goofed. I measured a bracelet and wrote 6 3/4" instead of 6 1/4". That half inch can make a big difference. So.... $350 return accepted and as a mea culpa for wasting the buyer's time and buying opportunity, I also offered the buyer 10% off and free priority boxed shipping off any single item that is a straight up BIN and 15% off and free boxed shipping for make an offer items no matter how much that item is priced at. He seems to be okay with it. Why am I writing this? I will tell you how I will fight scam artists, but I will also tell you when I screw up and that I will make it right. It happens.
  3. So am I not allowed to contact his friends and family and ask if Ryan Smith is the same guy that stole the Hulk 181? But Buzz, his friends list is turned off for public viewing. I know, I know Timmy... However he has posted pictures and those friends that he has and the family he converses with remark and like those pictures.
  4. Apparently 14 people did since October 4th https://www.ebay.com/sch/comicsclubauctions/m.html?_nkw&_armrs=1&_ipg&_from&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&rt=nc&_trksid=p2046732.m1684
  5. If you were to submit those, I think that may be something best handled by a personal drop off to CGC when they are at a nearby show in order to ensure that it is entered into the notes for the label.
  6. Sigh... (Cut and pasted from the last time) I really need to make a travel guide for comic collectors visiting New York. The first thing I will say is, SKIP the comic shops. UPDATE: It's Christmas time in the city... seriously? Go to: The Metropolitan Museum of Art One World Observatory (OMG... I went about ten days ago and it was amazing... and I live here.) Walk Across the Brooklyn Bridge (Take the ferry to the Brooklyn side of the Brooklyn bridge, walk across and THEN go to the Freedom Tower and Memorial) The Statue of Liberty (Tickets are probably booked to walk up to the crown - but you should still go to Liberty Island) Ellis Island (The US is a nation of immigrants... win some brownie points with me and take a pic of "BUZZETTA" engraved on the fence line honoring my family members) New York Yankee Post Season Baseball - Stadium offers tours even in the off season. Madison Square Garden - Take a Tour of MSG - Win MORE brownie points and take a picture between the Phish and Billy Joel banners. The Bronx Zoo - (Even in October it is worth it.) The Central Park Zoo - (Even in October it is worth it.) Want more ideas? Subscribe to: Thrillist New York City - Great guide for top rated places to eat and things going on that weekend New York Magazine - Best Places - Eating in NY is amazing. We are a nation upon itself of immigrants and everyone brings their best food. One Bite Everybody Knows the Rules: Barstool Sports Pizza Review - Portnoy is actually pretty spot on. John's of Bleeker & John's of Times Square are +++. "Alright Frankie, where are we?" Feeling adventurous? LONG ISLAND - There are many places you can take a trip out by train and then uber to come see... Speaking of which... make sure you have the following: Uber App Subway App LIRR App - You never know..., If you are in the West Village West Fourth Street Basketball Court (The Cage) This is a very famous court where NBA and Amateur ballers go to play REAL basketball. There is always a crowd watching. I will watch better b-ball there than most anything put on TV. Down the Hatch and Atomic Wings - I honestly love the wings there. When a boardie wanted to meet up one time in NYC I met them at Atomic Wings... they loved the wings there... Roccos Pastry of Bleeker Street - OMG... place is amazing. We wanted good pastry and cappuccino a few weeks ago. It was either here or go to Brooklyn to Fortunato's Brothers Bakery. Since the L train sucks sewage through a straw we stayed in the city. Rocco's is amazing and has later hours than most other city bakeries. For the love of god though... you are in arguably the greatest city in the world. Stay the hell away from comic shops. You are basically wasting your time doing the equivalent of dumpster diving to hopefully find something that justifies all that time spent. Instead you could be seeing a city and experiencing it in a way that goes well above and beyond drawn figures in tights. Also... one more thing... Stay to your right. I cry BS on that. Seriously... don't bother with comics. Seriously... I may have to make a boardie travel guide... "New York's hottest club is... "
  7. When you say something begins at a certain time then it should begin at that time. Otherwise, leaving me bored in a room with a whiteboard and dry erase markers leads to me finding ways to keep myself occupied.
  8. 1st Post: Welcome to the boards ! Here... - part of me thinks that this is a shill for Desert Wind Comics - if it is not then I apologize in advance. If it IS a shill for DW, know that I would rather NOT get a book a signed at all then go through Desert Wind to get that book signed. Here is some bedtime reading though. BTW... to all reading this... remember that there are complaints about things that do not make "the cgc boards"
  9. I thoroughly enjoyed both series as for American kids it was one of the only cartoons that was like a real TV series. What happened in one episode impacted the next episode. You had to watch them in order. With that said, I have no idea where the pictures are but 10 year old me built the hell out of that Dairugger Voltron out of Lego. I remember making sure that it was what would be considered today a straightforward build and everything connected via technic (Back then it was known as Expert Builder) connections.
  10. I am a perpetual five year old... I ordered it. https://www.shopdisney.com/the-child-plush-by-mattel-star-wars-the-mandalorian-11-pre-order-887961938814.html
  11. They are getting so sloppy in recent years. The extra pieces that you normally find in sets @Brandon Shepherd is basically kibble. They know that the smallest of pieces are hardest to ensure that they are packed right so there is always an extra of each smallest piece in each polybag. These are usually the 1x1 flat pieces or a lightbulb or a cheese wedge piece. Glad you were able to get the piece. To be fair their customer service and company philosophy is one of the best around. Think about it. A new set comes out and within a couple of weeks the instructions to that set are published online encouraging people to try to build the set with their own parts rather than buy a brand new set OR to see how the set 'works'. When I get the time, I want to build a Star Wars type station built around the Ninjago city ideas and a the unproduced Kenner set...
  12. I think it might be best to steer away from the conjecture.
  13. How was it missing a piece? Call up Lego and explain it to them and if it was truly missing a piece they will send it to you. They will ask you which piece from the description in the step from the instructional guide. CHeck the bags though. When I built the corner garage I accidentally left a piece stuck in the folds of the polybag.
  14. Hasbro pulse Black Friday Cyber Monday incentive ends tomorrow night at midnight. 10% Off for Non Members - Fanfirst10 20% Off for Members - Fanfirst20 Cannot decide what to get... but I believe it applies to preorders... Might pick up a Transformers Grapple for a gift next year when it is released.
  15. Sold off a LOT of books... there are still many books available. There are no further discounts on this post... so... whatever is left... it left. It's what it is.
  16. The Hellcat annual is a typo it's not Avengers Annual 10 it is Avengers Annual 2000 - If you do not want it that is fine. I am correcting that now.
