  1. I just exploded laughing in a meeting because of this. Thanks ! I am being stared at...
  2. I never knew all the details of the Air Pirates case. I can tell you that between stint 1 and 2 with working for Disney 1994-1996 and then again in 1998 in some capacity that their rules concerning their protection of intellectual property became what can only be described as more intense. I had to basically sign an agreement in 98 that any type of doodle I made while on the phone became their property.
  3. There is a way to get around it... at least what I have noticed... Change things to 'no returns'. I received a message that the return policy was non compliant with the good till cancelled feature so my items would not be listed as good till cancelled. Now why would I list 'no returns'. I sell a lot of jewelry on my account. I have already received message from buyers asking for pictures in different light because they want to see how it looks in different settings which is fine. They then tell me that normally they just order and if they do not like it they return it but since I have a no returns policy they decided to message me instead. Hence... no returns.
  4. Quality over quantity...
  5. I was really hoping that this was a tag about the Dare Maple Leaf Cookies I mentioned of which I have to place an Amazon offer on soon.
  6. He was new and I figured I would give it a chance... but that window closed.
  7. Taking it further it led to opportunities that some would have never expected such as being a judge on America’s Got Talent. He obviously did it as a good because he loved the show as a fan. However my grandmother who was in her 90’s at the time loved him there. Obviously corporate America was willing to embrace him for markets outside his usual demographic.
  8. Definitely - I have asked for a price and when I’ve been told to make an offer, I simply walk away. If you are the seller you should have a price in mind.
  9. Four time I made a 'sale' on Facebook. Twice the buyers never paid. Interesting conundrum though that was brought up in a GI Joe Facebook.group. In this particular group, if a deal goes south or someone takes the money and runs you are not allowed to publicly post that the incident occurred. You are not allowed to talk about having a bad experience with that seller even if they ripped you off. One person called someone out publicly this week after the person had not shipped their items for a month and were ignoring their messages. The mods deleted it. The response from the group was that how are we to know who NOT to deal with then? It's a different atmosphere there. However it is a different atmosphere on other boards. Take Rebelscum for example. If you are looking for SW B/S threads that is the go to place it seems. Same is true for HISSTANK for GI Joe stuff. Many people simply post "make an offer" and rarely post pics. I like the rules here but also like eBay as my first avenue for person to person sales.
  10. How do I ignore someone BTW? There is always a first and after around eight years I believe I found the first person worthy of the personal ban hammer. Forget it... I found it. He is now the second one that is on ignore. I forgot about someone else. That other someone else has not been seen around for six months and might never be coming back so maybe I am not so wrong in my gut feeling on who to block and who I can chalk things up to as being a simple disagreement.
  11. I read it. It had more value to me than what you usually post. You are correct though, you should be put on ignore. Ignore it will be.
  12. I am partial to the Dare Maple Leaf cookies.
  13. Yup, everyone 'thinks' they are sure of what they can do as an artist and what parody is until someone starts making and selling prints of Donald and Minnie engaged in inter-species, BDSM, cartoon sex. Then watch when Disney lay down the hammer. Because even IF it is considered parody. I can promise you one thing. Disney can and will outspend you. Disney can and will force you to settle the case even if you in the right. You will happily accept that settlement so you do not bankrupt yourself in legal fees. At the end of the day Disney owns the characters. It is not that they turn a blind eye. It is that the artists that use the characters in this way are beneath their notice OR they are using the characters in a way that they currently do not care about, such as drawing one off commissions at comic cons. These people are the ants that are crawling through the grass. However, every now and then though an ant gets brave and wanders into territory that they shouldn't. Once they are noticed, they are immediately squished. It just so happens that Disney happens to have a big boot.
  14. GI Joe Flagg from GI Joe Resolute (mock up was made) or Action Figure set that no one will see coming
  15. Some people out there spent $1500-$1600 on the Khetanna on march 8th and 9th... oops (data sourced from completed sales)
  16. Somewhat... they might sell out. Who knows? Right now it is still on the bed in the guest room I will not be disappointed to keep it. I just have too much going on to unpack it.
  17. Hasbro to release the Barge worldwide and continue to pump them out to order... with all the perks that we received in the preorder except for the initial booklet that shipped beforehand... Anyone else NOT see that coming? I kind of didn't Listing reserved on eBay for the Hasbro Pulse eBay Store.. https://www.ebay.com/i/153416099225
  18. Beckett Sports has sanctioned this as part of the grading under the umbrella of their name. If anyone is attending a card show I would love to see someone bring this up to them.
  19. I honestly cannot wait to see someone tamper with that and slip in a 2.0 copy of the same book. That is just begging to be taken advantage of just to show them what a poor idea that is.
  20. Thanks for taking the train cover... I said I was going to claim it if it was still available once I got home. However 291 @ 15%
  21. Price manipulation occurs all over the place and even that is not exclusive to Facebook. There is another scam that I have seen in the last few weeks but I do not want to promote it unless it is more widespread. We all just have to be vigilant is all.
  22. I've gotten eBay to deny the return when it came to "I changed my mind" reminding eBay that buyer's were to be held to their purchases unless something was wrong with the item. Buyer's remorse was not something that eBay should support. Buyer bought a game and decided they just didn't like it. They were denied the return and it was closed.
